Member Stories: We Love Hosting
We have been Boondockers Welcome members since July of 2016. We were guests for the first time in May of this year when traveling home to upper Michigan from Virginia and we had a great first experience with that. But what I'm writing to tell you now is how absolutely much we enjoy being hosts!

We've hosted a few couples each summer, 2016, 2017, and 2018. This past weekend, for the first time, we had two campers (two couples) here at our place at the same time and we have had a blast!
It's different each time you host. Some guests like to hang out with the hosts for part of the time while others just park and say thank you and then go do their own thing. Both are just fine, but we always like to at least issue an invitation for a joint picnic dinner on the first night, and if our guests accept, we treat them to some really excellent Yooper pasties!
This past weekend we had two couples and the six of us just really hit it off! We shared dinner both nights (pasties and salad the first night and brats, hot dogs, kraut and baked beans the second night) as well as having a campfire both nights and making S'mores the second night! We also shared coffee on the cabin deck in the morning, before all going our separate ways during the day.
For anyone that haven't tried boondockerswelcome I just have to say we highly recommend it to anyone and we wouldn't have traded our experiences with it for anything! We have literally made lifelong friends!
