For those with active guest privilege subscriptions
If you have or had an active membership as of 11pm ET on Thursday, April 30th, you will find that your membership has been extended by an extra 3 months. You'll be able to see a redeemed "3 month extension during COVID-19" credit in your previously redeemed subscription credit list, and your expiry date on the subscription details page will reflect this 3-month extension.
For those whose subscriptions have expired recently
If your subscription has expired in the last 60 days (since March 1st), then you may have lost your grandfathered subscription rate (note that if you have a host location listed, you will still have that rate locked in). We understand that you may have chosen not to renew at this time for obvious reasons, but we don't think you should be punished and lose your rate because of it. So we've made a change so you can still renew at your original grandfathered rate until July 1st. We'll send out a reminder just before that date, in hopes that travel will once again be on the horizon, and you can renew at your old locked-in rate and keep it going forward.
In the meantime...
While we will continue to advise only essential travel, we recognize that it will very much depend on your area and the status of the epidemic there as to what is reasonable. As some areas begin to loosen restrictions, it will be up to our members to determine if they think recreational travel is safe and responsible. We think that camping in general is a very low-risk activity, where it's quite easy to keep social distancing guidelines, so we're cautiously optimistic that many of us will be able to go RVing sometime soon.
