Get to Know Our Hosts

We've added over 600 hosts in 2020, so we thought it was time to provide a little information about our hosts.

We have over 2,700 host locations internationally with most locations in the U.S. and Canada (though we are actively expanding in Australia). Of those hosts, we have 475 Ultra Hosts, those are hosts with over 20 guest references. We have some amazing and generous hosts, though I'm sure that's of no surprise to most of our members.

The chart below tells you a bit more about our host locations.

Any stats we didn't cover that you'd like to see?

We'll publish a similar chart about our guests in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

Boondockers Welcome Logo

Boondockers Welcome is a community of RVers that provide overnight stays with each other for free while traveling through an area. We help RVers to travel more economically and find options when campgrounds may be full. It’s a great and safe way to meet fellow RVers or for people curious about the RV lifestyle to learn from members, while also providing a safe place to park for one night or up to five nights.

Keep up to date with us and our hosts

It might be interesting to see how many have RV dumps.

Ah, good idea! 10% of our hosts offer an RV dump. :)

Hi, my husband and I are in SW Ontario, Canada. We are self sufficient in a Scamp (13 feet) and like to park in wilderness areas. Is there any easy way to search for this? We are seeking solitude from a busy city life. Thanks.

Hi! We don't have a filter to search for hosts with lots of land or who may be in the country but you can certainly search all host locations here - https://www.boondockerswelcome.com/searchhosts/. Perhaps you could search for areas that you know are not located in a busy city and begin looking at each host location. You can usually tell from the pictures and the description if the location is remote. :)

I haven't had the opportunity to stay at a host location, but have hosted many guest since joining. We have mett so many truly wonderful people and made a friend or two as well. This is a great platform and reflects the best in the American human spirit.
