About WaynePetra

In A Few Words...

Happy Couple . . . married 47 years

A Little More Detail

We are a young 65+ couple. Love to RV and share the enjoyment of our 24 years of RVing with other travelers.
If not wanting to stay with us, instead wanting to just know of a secret, unpublished, Regional District campsite on the Fraser River 20 minutes from our house (and if you promise not to tell anyone about it) we will let you know where it is. It is our favourite location (just like the picture in the RV magazines, on the Fraser River instead of a lake) and $22 per night. We have RV'ed through western mainland Mexico, Alaska and western states in USofA.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Derby's Reach Regional Park (if one can get on of the only 38 spots) right on the Fraser River (20 min away). Oregon Coast is our second favourite place in the world, with Thialand taking first place!

WaynePetra's Pets

My favourite pet is my wife . . . and her favourite pet is me! (I hope!) We do not have, nor travel with, any dogs, cats, any knee biters or fleas. As we always tell the kids; we are going to get a dog when we get old . . . that way they will at least know when we are old.

WaynePetra's Rig

1993 Winnebego 32 footer, class A, painted several years back to modernize our land yacht.

WaynePetra's Home Town

Surrey, B.C. The largest city in B.C. in square miles but not population. Our city consists of about half still farmland with the other half highrises and multi-family homes. Our house is located in what most would consider the downtown core area.

Skills or Expertise to Share

I change my own oil . . . when I have a free day! because it takes me all day, thats about the extent of my skill and expertise! Aquarius RV (George) is just down the road for any servicing if needed.

We really want to thank Wayne and Petra for letting us stay for our last few days in Vancouver before ending our 17 month journey. Even though this was a very busy time in their lives they took time to have some meals with us and share some stories. Hopefully they will visit us one day in NZ.

We were warmly welcomed here, really hit it off with our Hosts, nice quiet location South of the Fraser. Wish we could have spent more time with our Hosts.
