Skyking were an absolute delight to stay with. We stayed two nights while visiting Mount Rainier (just 1 hour away) and enjoyed chatting and sharing stories with them in the evenings. They have tons of great tips for traveling throughout Washington and Oregon, and elsewhere! They were also generous enough to let us leave our trailer with them for two days while we visited friends in downtown Seattle. Their dogs are adorable and cuddly, with tons of personality. And the spot was perfect - level, spacious, easy to get in and out, quiet and even gated! We would definitely stay with them again and hope they'll give us a shout next time they're in Georgia!

Access Road Conditions
15.5 miles off I-5 on paved roads. Last 100 yards on gravel, then through narrow gate.
Grass open area, fenced and gated for friendly pets. I recently added a 30 amp plug.
Location requires a 3 point turn to get back out. The rigs in that picture are my 5th wheel on the right and guests from a party. Plenty of room for 3, more in the summer on the lower yard.
Suggested Local Attractions
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park 11.5 miles, 20 minutes
A superb program and park with indigenous wildlife, on 500 plus acres donated to Metro Parks Tacoma. Something there for all ages.
Mt. Rainier National Park 47 miles to Longmire via west entrance, 1 hour 15 minutes
I worked the summer of 2012 on the mountain, rebuilding sections of Stevens Canyon Road. I am happy to share what I know about the park.
Update: I am working on the same project this year. So far I have seen marmots, elk, deer, and a rare sighting of momma and baby mountain goat.
