We stayed for a night last week and were greeted by skibabe1's daughter, who was super nice and helpful in recommending trails near Lake Tahoe. It was really easy to find, park and get hooked up. All around great stay!

I do travel, so it is important to contact me to secure timing. When i travel, I have an adult daughter at the house who will need to agree to accommodate.
Access Road Conditions
Off main highway, about 1-1/2 miles. No access problems, except during bad weather, snow, etc.
I have a large driveway at my home in Reno, most likely available for up to 25-30 feet. 30 amp hookup and water is available. I would not want to have long term boondockers, possibly two/three days at a time. I would have to put my 25-ft RV in the street for duration, so I would want to limit availability. ONe pet would be okay, so long as it is kept on leash and not left in the vehicle unattended. This spot would be unavailable during periods of snow and ice, basically November through February, although some periods might be clear, all depends on weather, as I am at 5K feet.

In A Few Words...
A Little More Detail
retired banker, workamping in summer months. Have made six
cross country trips. My husband and I had planned to travel after I retired, but he passed away in 2009, and I am determined to carry on. Live in Reno, have an adult daughter who lives in and maintains my 1/3 acre property just south of Reno and 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe. Reno, NV, is a well kept secret, with stunning beauty and no shortage of activities. Just four hours too from San Francisco Bay area.
Personally, I love birding, cooking, asphalt cruising, jetskiing, sailing, football and wine. I love being retired, but cannot sit still, so I look for reasons to travel the country. I love wine, and often utilize Harvest Host as well.
Favorite Boondocking Locations
Harvest Host sites. Also stay in state parks when possible. Have also taken advantage of several fellow boondockers' hospitality.
I do not travel with them much, but I have two shelter dogs at my home. My adult daughter keeps them happy while I am gone, and they have a large backyard to chase the birds, squirrels and rabbits. They bark at the wild horses that visit the neighborhood (and my front lawn) almost daily.
