Contacted McLarty farm at the last minute while traveling between the Niagara and Windsor regions. Quick response and great welcome.

Very nice farm (extremely easy to find) and perfect accomodations for our 38 foot RV, on grass, with 30 amps electricity, WOW !!!

Now about the people: Although we stopped by late september and that it was harvest time, our hosts took the time to enjoy some wine with us and give us full information about farming (very very interesting, and a lot of work) and recommendation for restaurants. .

We stayed there a few days and enjoyed everyone of them.

We highly recommend to stay or host if requested.

Wow! My dog and I pulled into the farm and couldn't believe the huge sea of green grass, trees, crops, and beautifully-maintained farm buildings.

She was right there to greet us and direct us to our parking area by the barn. We hooked up [what a treat!!], and with the chirping of barn swallows in the background, got to know her a little. She is one interesting and busy woman, but she carved out some time for us before she had to leave. We learned the history of the family farm and also learned about barn quilts...who knew??!! Ask her about the beautiful one she created.

A bit later he joined us...boy, there is a lot to know about farming...and a heck of a lot of work!! He also explained the gigantic solar set-up on their property. Then off he went to look after some chores.

We had such a peaceful sleep...watched over by a mama raccoon and her baby peering out at us from the barn. We can't wait to stay with them again...terrific, easy-going hosts!!
