Site Description

We just bought 5 acres and we are building a house. We have room! Cows on one side, people on the other. Nice country setting. There is a gravel driveway. There may be construction on the property as we are getting ready to build our house. We have a barn. There is a fire pit and a picnic table. It is rolling hills. We do have goats and a miniature donkey in the field.

Suggested Local Attractions

Not as familiar with the area as I would like. Still getting settled ourselves.

A Little More Detail

My husband and I just bought our first Camper. It is a 69 Serro Scotty Gaucho 15'. While it needs to be restored we did take it for a quick weekend trip. We had a great time and now look forward to many trips once the restoration is complete.

marylesh's Pets

We have a wonderful Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix that we picked up at the local pound a few years ago. She is probably about 10 years old and extremely prissy. She hates to get her paws wet, won't even look at toys, and just wants to be loved by us. So we give it to her. We also have a Blue Heeler who is only a 1 1/2. She is very hyper. Sometimes we leave them behind especially the Blue Heeler.

We have a 1969 15' Serro Scotty Gaucho. Although we bought him with the intentions of restoring him, he was in good enough shape to go for a quick weekend trip. Granted we probably looked like the Beverly Hillbillies when we entered the camp, but we did not care. We had a great time and "Scotty" kept us safe from any wild animals, protected us from the elements and followed us without any problems.

Skills or Expertise to Share

I am pretty good with a computer but not quite the "geek" I am a pretty good photographer and definitely have the gift of gab. My husband on the other hand is a technician for Coca Cola and is pretty handy with all kind of tools. He will do the majority of work on the restoration. I will provide all the input. Hopefully he will listen.

We offer a recommendation for Marylesh in Carrollton. They offered a quiet, comfortable location that allowed us to avoid Atlanta. Alpacas, goats, dogs, cats, etc provided a nice, farm-like atmosphere. And she is very nice. We didn't get to meet him but we'll try to return another time for sure.
