We stayed with 'L' and son 'A' for a single memorable night. The weather had rained for a long time prior to our arrival(1/22/17). More rain(historic) than in the past 15 years. The entire region was rain soaked and areas of flooding. L's estate was a quagmire of mud and flooding, with only a tiny area of hard surface parking remaining unscathed. 'A' guided our rig around several obstacles and to safe haven. L and A were extremely hospitable and we talked for hours after our arrival. In drier times(which is almost always, as it is located in the high desert)there are vast areas of great parking on their property. Note that if the weather has been uncommonly 'sucky', you may have an entertaining time parking. We enjoyed our short time there.

In A Few Words...
A Little More Detail
Have lived in the same place for 40 years. At our home we grow jackrabbits, tumbleweeds, kids, grand kids and great-grand kids.
Back yard has room for a RV, or two. Have well with good water. Weather can be cold at night in winter, warm days and hot in the summer. Wind blows much of the time, but usually it is just a stiff breeze. Have beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Other things to see within an hours ride are: Local cat house (Exotic Feline Breeding Compound) featuring tigers, leopards, and other cats of all sizes from around the world, Musical road, Airplane museums, Tehachapi Loop where trains climb the mountain and loop themselves through a tunnel, wind farms, and Red Rock Canyon State Park.
