Kevin and Julie are just good people!! We loved getting to know them and they were some of the best hosts we've stayed with! Not just because of Julie's zucchini bread :) Look forward to seeing these two again in the future!
Site Has Available:
Hookup site is available year round. Primitive sites are only available in summertime when the field is dry enough to drive on as there is no gravel on the road to access it.
Access Road Conditions
Our hookup site is graveled with good access to it. A little tight for one turn around the shop but you can see that in the pictures. I do it with our 29 foot trailer all the time. The other sites are in a small field surrounded by trees with a large fire pit in the middle. Some height issues as you enter the site.
We have one site with 30 amp power, water, RV dump, fire pit and picnic table. We can even provide you some dry firewood. We also have an isolated primitive site for 2-3 RVs around a large fire pit when the weather is good and field is dry to drive on. We look forward to visiting with you!
Suggested Local Attractions
We have a lot of rivers and trails around for kayaking, hiking and biking. Nearby we have lots of Outlet Malls, antique shops, museums as well as an authentic steam train from spring to fall plus on some holidays. We are only 2 hours from the ocean and 1 1/2 hours to the St. Helens Volcanic Monument. To learn more about out local community click here: www.discoverlewiscounty.com
About Kevin and Julie
In A Few Words...
A Little More Detail
Welcome to our boondocking site and we truly look forward to meeting you! We are excited to be joining this group of fellow RVers.
Kevin is recently retired from a 30-year career as a fire captain for the city of Chehalis. Julie is a stay-at-home mom/wife. Together we operate a wildland firefighting suppression business.
When we are not fighting fires we enjoy RVing and are looking forward to many travels around the United States.
Our first serious traveling adventure on the road was the year we graduated from college (Yea WSU Cougs!) and we hit the road in our pickup and camper. 2 1/2 months and 48 states later we were back in WA and working at our jobs. We have since hit the other two states. Over 30 years and a career later we are looking forward to traveling more in our semi-retirement. We are now looking forward to really experiencing the awesome sights our country has to offer at a more leisurely pace.
Favorite Boondocking Locations
South in the sunshine! We have had some great travels in the south but we also have many beautiful and enjoyable state parks in WA that we enjoy.
