We stayed on their property Sept. 2017. Excellent hosts providing many recommendations for sight-seeing in Ottawa.
Parking is in two driveways, backing in from the road is a bit of a challenge for our 60 ft truck and trailer, but do able.
Thanks to John and Jan
Site Has Available:
All year, but check with us first as we may be away. Winter (i.e. snow on the ground) is possible at the home location, but not at the undeveloped location (unless you REALLY like shovelling!)
Access Road Conditions
Paved road to both locations. Home site = no restrictions. Undeveloped site = pay attention to overhanging trees, fully navigable with judicious use of full road width; little traffic, so not a problem.
Choices: We have two properties in the area. One is our home with services available, another is a mostly undeveloped 70 acre site with no services. Both sites are generally wooded but have clearings for RV use. Distance between the two sites is about 25km / 16mi / 20 min drive. Paved road access to both. Parking areas vary from native grass to crushed gravel. Pets only after discussion. Non-smokers preferred. Smokers must observe fire safety and dispose of butts in garbage - no butts on the ground please! Generators not likely needed as we may be able to supply power. Dump stations available with seasonal availability to both north and south of our locations - about 15 min drive.
Suggested Local Attractions
45 min drive to Canada's Capital, Ottawa.
Depending on the season, golf, skiing, sugar bush, swimming, watersports, hiking all under 20 mins drive.
