Chose the Colorado Springs area to retire, and loving it. I could live full time out of the RV in a heart beat; my wife prefers to have a permanent place to call home.
I'm happy to give free advice on investments, but you know what free advice is worth ;-)
We have a dog, Lizzie. She enjoys people more than other dogs. She is a boxer-mix with a beautiful brindle color.
I loved the boondocking-friendly locations right along the roads in Canada (Alberta, BC, Yukon).

25 foot 2011 Jay Feather Sport travel trailer. No slide-outs or funky paint scheme or decorations.
A delightful couple with a wonderful, well-behaved dog. We enjoyed each other's company as well as their dog.
All three are welcome to come visit us again!!! Wine is very good!!!
It's to bad we didn't meet, they were familiar with traveling to Alaska, which we have coming up. I don't think they had any problems or concerns, they just stayed over night. One of these days our paths will cross, maybe at their place. I hope you made it to burger night in Moab?
What a great spot and an even nicer couple. We spent Memorial Day Weekend here! The hosts were extremely generous to us. We had a few issues and they went above and beyond the call to help us. Will definitely stop and see them if we’re back in the area.
Wish we had some time to become better acquainted. We were in Colorado Springs for a graduation and were very grateful for this boondocking home for 3 days.
Perfect location for checking out Garden of the gods & Pikes Peak. Quiet area with nice views & helpful hosts. Our dogs enjoyed a bit of freedom also!
Great quiet safe spot. Level parking and allowed us to fill up with water, very generous. Thanks for being willing to share your home with us.
