I retired early, probably a little too early and my wife is still employed but receives a good amount of vacation time. I have enjoyed camping when I was young so we decided recently to purchase our RV. We have two beautiful dogs that we want to travel and hike with so it seemed like the logical thing to do. I enjoy woodworking and gardening and am very handy and always willing to lend a helping hand. My wife is also handy, enjoys cooking, baking and sharing her creations with whomever comes our way. We would welcome and enjoy interacting either as a host or as visitors with our fellow boondockers but we also understand that people have other things to do and just want some privacy and we respect that.
woodworking and all general repairs, pretty much a handyman
Yes, 2 Brittanys and yes we travel with them
Still to be determined

While BobKat did not actually end up staying with us I wanted to leave a positive reference because they were very pleasant to interact with via the Boondockers site. Hopefully they will return again to our area and it will work out for them to stay with us. I see lots of wonderful reviews on their host location as well so if we ever end up in New York we will definitely contact them.
Had a great stay in Bob and Kathleen's (I think I got her name right?) driveway! We coordinated arrival time via text and he came out to help us back in to the driveway. They were both friendly and happy to talk but also happy to just let us be. They were very generous and we enjoyed meeting them. This was a welcome stay because all the local campgrounds were still closed in April. Thank you both for the hospitality!!
We stayed w/BobKat Jan 1, 2018, on a cold, winter night. Bob was very helpful and accommodating, and we were quite happy in his driveway, plugged in and toasty! He helped me square up my RV in order to make a quick exit the next morning, esp. important considering a good bit of speedy traffic nearby. We'll definitely try and return at the end of March on our way back to PEI, Canada. Thanks again, Bob!
Received a warm welcome,
Thanks to Bob I had a pleasant nights stay, a good night sleep and very comfortable and safe.
We had really enjoyed the Bob's hospitality. He was generous and helpfull. His house is well locate near a train station to New york in about 1.30 h. We will come back and talk about our travels
My husband and I are one month into a year long adventure across the U.S. and this was the first time we tried Boondockers Welcome. We were very pleased with our experience. Bob was standing in the driveway when we pulled in (we told him when we would be there) and showed us around his beautiful garden. He and his dogs were super friendly and when we met his wife after work she was great too! They even gave us tomatoes from their garden and apples from a local orchard. Now we are TOTALLY spoiled but this was a great start to our boondocking experience. Highly recommend staying there!
I spoke with Bob and few times but sadly had to cancel my plans. I just wanted to post a positive review as he was very nice about my changing plans. I would have loved to stay there as my husband and I have the same rig as Bob and Kat. Maybe next time through. Thank you.
This is the second time we've used our BW membership and couldn't have been more pleased.
Very quick response to our request and very helpful and accommodating when we arrived.
A very friendly couple. We were just passing through the area, but Bob gave us some tips about
the local area and invited us to stay again if we get back up this way. Thanks again so much!
