Hey, I'm a homeschooling mother of three from the midwest who loves travelling coastal America with my best friend or brother. Rural Virginia is my current home and I am very lucky to wake up to mountain vistas and horses galloping through pastures, but there is nothing I love more than waking up to crashing waves and sand in my hair. I'm a self-taught pursuer of holistic health and nutrition, but I love a tasty platter of burger and fries with a beer. Teaching my kids to value their freedom and to live with productivity and happiness.

Quiet Countryside Bliss

We stayed at Prosperity Farm for 3 nights in early May this year 2017.
After several road weary days it was just what the doctor ordered!

When we arrived we were able to fill our fresh water tank and then park in a beautiful grassy area.
Our kids immediately wanted to go jump on the trampoline while we set up the travel trailer.

Our host came out to greet us and had provided us with a big list of things to see and places to go with the kids. That was really nice of them. In the end, we were really looking for a few days of rest, and we got that.

We were treated to beautiful fireflies every night. Then on our second night, we had a magical visit with two horses near midnight. We were parked along the horse pasture, and we heard a shuffling sound outside the front door. We looked out the window and had two curious shapes standing in the dark. We called the kids over and went outside to greet our nighttime visitors. It was so wonderful and the kids really loved it too. The horses were illuminated by the blue led lights from our TT. Great time.

We ran our generator on and off during the day to charge devices and run the a/c, but we shut it down around sunset.

If you're looking for a quiet spot in Virginia with the mountains in the distance, Prosperity Farm is a great place to relax!
