National park loving family who loves what our great country has to offer! We spend 3 months traveling the country and then throw in various shorter 1-2 week trips throughout the year. We began RVing in 2016 after the loss of our daughter, Everly, to a genetic condition that took her life at 11 months old. We quickly realized how precious time is and we live now to make the most of every day.
In 2016, we invited my parents to join us and we traveled to various National Parks around the country, making a large loop. We spent 70 days on that trip in the summer. My husband flies in to meet us for his leave of 3 weeks.
In 2017, the boys and I drove to Alaska and spent the summer there. We spent 6 weeks in AK and the rest of the 3 months driving and exploring to and from.
And this year, 2018, we are traveling to see our great northeastern/New England states.
As for skills, I am a teacher by trade and homeschool currently so have that skill set to offer. My husband works in IT and can help with computer and/or electronic issues as can my 19 year old son. All of us are animal lovers and would love any opportunity to care for any animals on property. We're also very excited about being able to help out on any farms we might stay on while boondocking.
We just began RV'ing in 2016 with our first big experience being a 70 day Great American Road Trip during the summer. Go BIG or go home is our motto! We were pretty new to the RV and not quite ready to boondock at the time. Now we've taken many trips and feel ready to try boondocking as we've found we like the non-resort, non-big campground feel. We are open to travel and locations and feel that there's so much to still explore in our great country! Nothing is off limits for our family!
I live in Tampa, Florida. Unfortunately we are unable to offer boondocking ourselves due to our neighborhood's deed restrictions as we aren't even able to park ours either. We love anything outdoors and there's much to do in Tampa and the surrounding area. We have been tent camping in Florida for the past 12 years until we purchased our travel trailer in spring 2016. We loved that experience and am grateful we were able to give that experience to our boys. Having the RV has opened the doors for travel outside of our state and for longer trips. It has also allowed us to camp in Florida in months we normally wouldn't have been able to before due to the heat.
We own a 2016 Cherokee Grey Wolf 31 foot bumper pull travel trailer. It has one slide out and is our home away from home. Like most RVers, our travel trailer is our special getaway, even if we are staying close to home, and we care for her as such.
We enjoyed having Crystal and her family as our guests. We would gladly have them stay here again if it fits into their travel plans.
Jacques and Pauline Couture
Wonderful family. Their life story is incredible. We would host them anytime.
