Cris and Jeff have been happily married since 2013. Between them, they have 4 adult children and 5 "grandies" that they travel to see in Ohio, Texas and Colorado. In addition, they travel from coast to coast and in between for Jeff's musical performances and visiting friends and relatives.
Cris has previously owned a 30' Winnabego, a Jayco travel trailer and now a wonderful Pleasureway (similar to a Roadtrek) conversion van. She introduced Jeff to this wonderful life style. She is a retired educator after serving special needs children and adults for 50 years.
They moved from Cleveland, OH to Evergreen, CO in 2014 lived for 3 yrs in the rugged Rocky Mountains with their two small dogs-Chiweenies-at 9,200' where their neighbors are the mule deer, black bears, foxes, ravens, pine squirrels, mountain bluebirds, many other birds and an occasional cougar. Now, as of Sept.2017, they have returned to Cris's former home in San Diego, CA
Music, music, music! Jeff plays 20 instruments and travels with many of them. Cris is the "roadie" and loves to cook.
We have 2 rescue Chiweenies, Abe and Mary. They always travel with us .
National, State, County and regional parks. We go where Jeff has gigs and visit (Moochdocking) far flung friends and relatives. We put on an average of 15,000 miles a year.
We are both Ohio natives-Jeff from Cleveland, OH and Cris from a dairy farm near the Ohio River in NE Ohio. Jeff has traveled to 47 states and internationally with his musical productions. Cris has worked as an educator in 5 states-including Alaska and retired in 2009 with 50 years of experience. Her new adventure is a new business, Crystal Communication, using her healing talents for body, mind and spirit. We have dual residence in CA and CO..
We have a tan Class B 2007 Pleasureway Lexor (similar to Roadtrek). It is 19' long, regular width of a van with an 11' elevated roof. Looks like a van except for slightly higher roof.
We had such a great time getting to know our hosts! They have had very interesting lives and their stories were entertaining and enlightening. Very kind people who offered us electric hookup and water to fill our tank. They have two adorable, sweet dogs who we loved interacting with. Parking is in their driveway (they graciously moved their own vehicle to give us enough space) on a somewhat busy road. With our fans running, though, traffic was nearly unnoticeable. We felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Very grateful we had a chance to stay here!
Cris and Jeff were such charming hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even invited us to join them for a meal. We enjoyed getting to know them and appreciated all the ways in which Cris worked to make us more comfortable. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Not far from the beaches and downtown San Diego.
Chris and Jeff Moyer are without comparison some of the sweetest and welcoming people we have met on our vacation so far. They let us join them for dinner and introduced us to their friends who was very lovely people too. We hope to keep in touch!
You will not regret this choice :-)
