I'm a retired salesman and my wife is a (continuing) homemaker. I enjoy ham radio and working outdoors. My wife is an avid reader. We usually travel to Colorado in the summer and South Texas in the winter.

eddalex are friendly folks. We would love to have an opportunity to host them again and visit more.
Great place to stay. Concrete parking pad. Nice and level. Even had power if needed. Nice host. Easy to find.
Our host was friendly and available, but stayed out of our way. There is plenty of land, and the area is quiet (except for the katydid chorus). Our stay was brief, but we would definitely return.
We arrived with our brand new rig and were welcomed with open arms. This was our first night in our rig and our first Boondockers Welcome experience. We were invited for some evening wine after our dinner and a wonderful chat that lasted for hours. Such a wonderful location and beautiful spot to spend our first night on this new adventure. We hope to see them again on a future stay and thank you for the fried pie recommendation, they were delicious!
I enjoyed my stay very, very much. Everything was wonderful: the hosts, location, and RV site. The hosts are easy going and great conversationalists, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, and the site was level with the electric connection nearby. Thank you!
We stayed over night. The spot was flat and easy to get into. Host came out and made sure we got everything we needed, even invited us in for refreshments. Down the road from the lake and less than 5 miles to the state park.
We were welcomed to stay over the 4h of July when most places were filled. This is a very nice place to say. Would stay again if in the area. Host were great.
The hosts were very cool and down to earth. We had good wine and conversation during my stay. They are located right next to Keystone Lake so it was easy to head to the lake for a day. One of my favorite stays so far.
This was a great stay. It was quiet, very clean and easy to access and the hosts were very friendly, so were the neighbors even the four legged ones 🙂. It was close enough to Tulsa should you want to go do something you could pop into the city but still enjoy a peaceful night's rest afterwards.
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the hosts. Very generous and thoughtful people! Would definitely stay again!
Enjoyed our stay here and chatting with our hosts! Hosts were very friendly and it was a quiet place to stay.
My family had such a wonderful time here. The hosts are great and the homestead is amazing. We absolutely loved staying here and our dogs did too. We loved that you can rent boats to go fishing down the street and that its was quite and peaceful. We would differently stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at Basin Road. It was a beautiful acreage and we loved waking up to the sound of birds chirping out our window. Site was level and had 50amp service and water available. Host was friendly and helpful.
Great location that is close to many attractions! Plus SUPER hosts who even allowed our big fur baby to use their fenced in backyard! It was a pleasure to meet them & spend a little bit of time with them. Hopefully, we will be able to return when our travels bring us back to the area.
We loved our stay at Basin Rd. Our hosts couldn’t have been any nicer. Their directions onto the property were helpful. Hope to see them down the road.
Was a great location and host. Glad there are other travelers that open their place for other travelers. Had car problems and ended sitting a day at dealership. Would had been better if covid was not around so we could talk more. They even opened up their fenced in yard for our dogs. Glad to have stayed with this host. Highly recommend this location if in the area.
WE had a wonderful stay in wide open area, under the trees, plenty of room for a big Rig. Excellent communication from the host. We will be sure to stay next time we are passing through
My dogs and I had a great time camped in the woods all by ourselves! Unfortunately, social distancing precluded us from meeting our hosts our communication via text was still great. I highly recommend getting off grid for a couple of days. PS there is a cell tower nearby so reception was great.
Edd was a fine host on both ends of our trip south. If you’re looking for quiet solitude, this is it.
Had a nice quiet night in private secure setting. Communications with host was excellent.
These folks were so kind, we had planned to stay at El Campo, a somewhat remote location, for Thanksgiving so that we wouldn't impact anyone else's holiday as we had to arrive that day. A few days out this gentleman texted to say he knew the area had already been wet/soft and several more days of rain were forecast over the holiday and he was very concerned about the possibility of getting our rig stuck out there. He asked for us to consider staying at their home property instead and we could not be more grateful for the suggestion!
We stayed at their other listing, in their driveway right next to their house. 50 Amp hook up was super close and the drive wraps all the way around the property making for an easy pull through. These folks were on an RV trip themselves so we did not get to meet them personally but communication was swift and helpful throughout. They even gave us a local contact number in case we had any issues. We had no issues, it was a great spot in beautiful countryside and we enjoyed a quiet thanksgiving cozy in our rig and not worried about how we would get out.
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and consideration. Hope we get through this way again soon and get to chat in person. Happy travels!
Another nice 2 day stay at Edd & Louise's property. Thanks again you guys..Great place and great people here.
I arrived at Edd and Louise's location and was greeted and shown where to setup. I had a great conversation with them both over a nice glass of wine. The next day I took a tour of Edd's shop and we had discovered we were both Ham Radio operators. He has a great workshop out back and a sweet looking 1961 Mac truck sitting back there. Later in the evening they invited me in to have dinner and we had more great conversation about a multitude of interesting topics. The hospitality of this host was fantastic and a great location to stop on your journey for sure!!
Thanks you guys...!
We had a wonderful stay at this location. The hosts were very nice and even met us in town to lead us to their home. This is a quiet country setting with easy access to town. It is very easy to get to the parking location.
Host met us at location and got us in for our stay. We stayed two nights and location worked well for us. Nice location in a wooded area. Would definitely stay again when traveling in the area.
We stayed at Campo April 17, 2019. Our GPS guided us to the wrong spot, however Edd was gratious enough to come to where we were and guide us to his property. It was a very quiet spot in the woods and altho there was a bad storm that night, we were still very safe there.
Edd and Louise were exceptional hosts. Their site was quiet, safe, and secluded, making for a very comfortable visit. We enjoyed an evening of dialogue with them, exchanging some very useful locations and life stories. They are incredibly generous with their site and their time.
Although we did not meet our hosts, the communication was very easy and we were greeted in a peaceful and safe place, perfect for relaxing after a long day of driving. Thank you very much. If we come back one day, we hope to stop there again and we would nice to meet you!
Great place and nice folks. Easy to get to and quiet too. Edd has the coolest old Mack truck. If we’re back in thus area we would definintely ask to stay here again.
First I want to apologize for my late comments, I had commented after my visit but it must not have posted. The kind host was very quick to respond to my request for an overnight place to stay and the campsite was easy to access and easy to turn around my friends large rig with a toad. Even though he couldn’t be there he left us the combination to the gate. Many thanks
Although I missed the driveway on my first pass as my GPS had the location as further south, I enjoyed a quite night in this private campground. My friend who accompanied me had a 34 ft motor home with a toad and was able to access the camping space easily.
