I work for Union Pacific Railroad. I have decided that hotels are stifling and feel like an RV provides a more fulfilling lifestyle. I love to meet new people and experience the places my work sends me. I've chosen a Class B motor home. It's just under 22' long fully self contained. At times I will bring my motorcycle on an 8' flat bed trailer for commuting to and from the work site. It is not loud. Just a bit of fun.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

I have been doing this for a long time now. I guess I would have to say us higway turn offs.

I love to listen to the ocean crashing on the cliffs in Northern California. Big Sur is incredible.

Catching a six hour nap before sunrise in a National Park in an overlook are always a stunning way to wake up.

National Forest are a bit wild and some roads can be a bit much for my Sprinter but when I find a good road they lead to amazing places to be.

I love to hike so trailheads are great overnight stops when permitted as well. I like to get started in time to watch the sun wake the land.

Kris Hunsaker's Hometown

Easy Guest to Host

Kris was an easy guest to host. He was so quiet we didn't know he was there half the time. ;) We really enjoyed chatting with him and hearing about his many adventures.
