First I retired from the US Coast Guard, worked after that at at&t and met a great lady that became my wife. We are both retired from at&t now and had 11 wonderful cruises but decided to now see the United States. Bought a 21 foot travel trailer and then decided we would rather have a class B motor home.
No real skills.
Yes, a 22 pound Chihaua/ Beagle mix.
Traveling the south now, from Florida to Arizona. Plans to see up north next summer with a trip to Maine and the surrounding states.

We enjoyed chatting about our travels and dogs and rvs. Great couple. Hope to see them down the road.
These hosts were super nice and the location was quite with walking distance to a cute little restaurant shaped like a bus, ice cream place, bakery and cute little shops. The town people were very friendly and nice. The hosts helped me to back in and greeted me with a smile and made sure I got out ok. I had a very nice time.
thank you for accepting our late request and accommodation for our rig in your pad. Wonderful conversation and beautiful quiet neighborhood. Please find us when you are in our area.
We had a great two-night stay in Ball Ground. In addition to the 15-amp & water hookup the host was nice enough to allow us to use their on-site dump. We really enjoyed chatting with them about all of their travels!
Really felt welcomed by this host. Would come back in the future.
These hosts are on the “A+“ list!!! Quickly accommodated me due change in my travel plans and were so helpful getting me parked & level, in the rain!!!
Very convenient when passing through north Georgia. Be sure to save a few hours to spend in delightful Ball Ground!
Spent a quiet evening. Enjoyed walking through and having dinner in this quaint town. ....you'll love the downtown food trucks and Burger Bus...all just a short walk from the host's location. It was pretty cold so we were happy for the offer of electric too.
Thanks for having us. You made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed our stay and sharing travel experiencs. Thanks for the coffee place suggestion.
Our hosts were extremely gracious and gave us great insides to the area. Their full hookups were a real treat! We will definitely be back whenever we’re in the area.
Ball Ground offers some of the last vestiges of good southern hospitality. Everyone welcomes you with open arms. The ladies even offer fresh herbs from the local botanical garden. Local German butcher has a great selection of meats right in the middle of downtown. Don't miss a chance to see Ball Ground. You local host is a great host and will put you in the right direction for everything Ball Ground!!
Great stay in Ball Ground. Highly recommend this location which has virtually full hookup. Don't forget to chip in for utilities. Property is adjacent to the local Botanical Garden where freesh herbs are in abundance! Don't forget the world famous Burger Bus...Burgers and Hot Dogs only. Local German butcher has a variety of meats available and a local Italian place is your in that mood. Two Brothers BBQ is a local favorite Thursday thru Sunday only. Less than an hour to the Braves game may delight some folks.
The host was very accomodating and has the spot with privacy for both parties if that's important for you.
I had a great stay here. My hosts were helpful and the covered boondocking area was great for my travel trailer. They supplied me with power and offered water as well. I got in a day later than expected but my host were very accommodating. Thanks for having me.
Lovely residence
Lovely hosts. Thanks for the nice time we had together in your living room

We would have never gone to Ball Ground, GA if not for BW. Very pleasant town and enjoyed talking to our host, who provided a covered carport to stay in. Wonderful experience.
We were directed to park on a level, covered, concrete pad, as you see in the pictures. It doesn't get any better than that. We were warmly greeted and invited in for treats, which we actually declined as we had been in the RV all day and wanted to go walking to explore the town. They therefore supplied us with walking directions into town and we proceeded there. Ball Ground is a very nice small town with some quaint shops, a couple of nice restaurants, and so forth. In the morning they provided us with some excellent carrot cake to go! Definitely a great spot to stay.
Bill and Debra could not have been more gracious. Bill met us at the street, directed us to park under the canopy for their new coach. We had a wonderful chat and shared excellent cake
I very much enjoyed my stay at Ball Ground. Beautiful surroundings and the hosts were especially accommodating, generous and fun to get to know. Thank you for the wonderful carrot cake. If you stay at Ball Ground take the time to walk around the area and visit the botanical garden. I would love to stay if I get back your way. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.
Even though they were not home they kindly let us stay the night. We enjoyed the small town of Ball Ground Georgia very much. The lovely women at the bakery didn't mind us spending the very rainy afternoon there playing cards while we coffeed and tried out the goodies!! Thanks again for a great stop over!
We just bought our rv a few months ago and this is our first real trip. Boondocking in Ball Ground was a perfect start. The location is just off the interstate far enough to enter a relaxed atmosphere. The area is quiet and is a great place to get your morning run/walk in. The host were real patient with me being my first time I had asked a lot of question. Great set up and niece folks plan on stopping in again! See Ya Carrol
We stayed at the location of "Boondocking in Ball Ground" and were amazed with the hospitality of the hosts. We are in a 25' class B and fit wonderfully on their level RV cement pad and high roofed open shelter next to their home. The location is near a well maintained (free) botanical garden and mere blocks from the quaint main downtown roadway. We traveled through on the July 4th long weekend and even enjoyed a masterful fireworks show by the City from our host's front porch. The next day we ate lunch at the unique Burger Bus hamburger place in town. This was a wonderful experience and we recommend this location anytime. Thank you "Boondocking in ..."
