Do you know or have you hosted this user?

A writer/journalist, manager, publicist, and organizer, I raised two children, built or renovated a number of homes, lived rurally in an off-the-grid home, artist in many genres. Award-winner in journalism, real estate, fundraising, and art.

Casualty of corporate capitalism, living frugally, creatively, staying year-round in Arizona, with few exceptions.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Solar cooking, passive solar design, natural home building, Permaculture design, intuitive feng shui. Also, sewing, knitting, felting, and other fiber arts. And writer, editor, videographer, journalist, speaker, workshop presenter, and old-school (pre-social media) media relations professional.

Jean777's Pets

My beloved silver tabby cat left this plane my first year on the road. Nomadism didn’t work for her at her age. Will travel without pets from now on.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Cochise Stronghold and Chiricahua Mountains in southeastern Arizona - spring and fall. Winters: Quartzsite, Organ Pipe. Summers: Mogollon Rim.

Jean777's Hometown

Born in California, raised in Davis and Merced, California, and Scottsdale, Arizona, I've spent most of the last four decades in Tucson, Arizona, Cochise County, Arizona, and Silver City, New Mexico. Now my home base is Cochise County, though I only spend a few weeks there each year.

Exemplary Guest

Jean777 was a lovely, considerate, boondocking guest. I felt very comfortable having her parked at my home.
