Looking forward to meeting good people that are as willing to share what they have as we are. Our host property will have a caretaker while I am gone in my RV, so my dear fellow RV'rs can stay and enjoy the beauty we have.
We have Golden Retrievers, so our home is their home. We have no fence and my dogs are off leash. They protect my chickens. Guests are welcome to fresh eggs. Friendly dogs are welcome to join us at my "dog park". We have two cats that are outdoors for pest control and one house cat good at hiding from strangers. We have two small ponds that are home to Peawea the red eared slider turtle. Our property backs up to the Sequoia National Forest, so wildlife including coyotes, bears and the occasional bobcat do come around.
We are looking to enjoy time traveling the US with our golden retrievers. We have a 29' class C 1995 RV clean with little miles. We respect the environment, clean up after ourselves and dogs, and respect other peoples space and property as we would our own. We are "people persons" and enjoy socializing.
We are looking forward to the wonderful opportunity to travel and experience the vast beauty of the united states.
Computers, animal care, sewing, cooking. Enjoy sailing, motorcycle riding, swimming, hiking, shooting, fishing, hunting and throwing the dogs in the pool every chance we get.
4 polite Golden Retrievers-with us in RV
At the ranch-
3 kitties. 1 outside, 1 inside, 1 everywhere
4 chickens, 1 rooster
1 Red eared slider turtle
And always changing
Looking forward to seeing every state there is.
Kerry originally from Montebello California and Glen from Glendale (Los Angeles). Moved to the "country" 12 years ago to Beautiful Uptown Bodfish. Glen USMC and worked as an electrician. Member of VFW, American Legion and Loyal Order of Moose.
29' Four Winds Chateau class C 1995 Clean with low mileage. No slideouts or strange issues.
We stayed with Kerry for what was planned to be one night and was extended to three nights at the end of November 2017. We were passing between Sequoia National Park and Death Valley, this location was a perfect mid point. We figured we would stay one night and keep going, but we loved exploring the area and we had a great time chatting with Kerry and Glen, and meeting their awesome dogs. We were invited in to do laundry, have showers and catch some NFL on tv. We made great friends with our hosts! Our dogs had a wonderful time there too, and they miss the ginger retriever, KC, the most because he was the same colour as them and made wonderful furrrrrrriends. The driveway is STEEP but it is easy to navigate, take Kerry's advice, walk it first, determine your approach and then go for it. We would stay again should we roll that way in the future! We stayed three nights at this boondocker location. Friendly, helpful, welcoming, and offered laundry. We only plugged to watch a movie but did fill our water tank before leaving. We got to be good friends with the dogs and had fresh eggs for breakfast. Shared pizza and wine one night as well. Would highly recommend this host!
We're on the road full time and Shefferk made us feel right at home allowing us a hot shower and a couple loads of laundry. The hospitality didn't stop there. We shared some drinks and had a great time getting to know them. Hope to see these guys again when they make it to Florida!! And all the dogs better come too!! ;)
Stayed recently with Shefferk for our very first Boondockers Welcome experience. Couldn't have gone better. She is a lovely person who went out of her way to make us welcome, the spot to park our rig was great, even ran a power cord out for us so we could hook up. Highly recommended.
thank you very much for your warm welcome we were very happy and lucky to spend a night near your nice home Gerard et Martine
