We love to be on the water or in the woods, so camping on a lake or river or the ocean is our favorite location. Our other interests include time with grandchildren, kayaking, swimming, local theater, and travel to other countries.
In November 2020 we adopted a 2 year old Old English Sheepdog. She has now been on two RV trips with us and will travel with us more in the future.
Chico is a university town with a vast array of community theater, art galleries, small-town museums, plus close to hiking, biking, kayaking, boating and fishing spots. It is located 90 miles north of Sacramento and 90 miles south of Redding on the east side of the Sacramento Valley next to the Sierra/Cascade Mountains foothills.
We have a Class C - 2020 Entegra Qwest 24L - with 1 slide out on the driver's side. We tow a 2012 Honda CRV.
It was an awesome experience. We got in late and they were super accommodating. They also let our kids swim in their awesome salt water pool. Amazing.
Our hosts were very nice, helpful and friendly. Appreciate the electric. The area is wonderful to explore. I would recommend staying here and hope to return to do more. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much. We were so grateful to our hosts, such nice people. Highly recommended
After a long day of driving a quiet cul-de-sac and level driveway were wonderful. our hosts met us after we parked and chatted for a few minutes then allowed us to settle in for the evening. A peaceful night sleep 💤. Very accommodating!
Thanks to Spfluecke for hosting us. They are both friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the electric hookup and the safe neighborhood. Their location is close to everything which makes it easy to go on walks and enjoy nature. Happy travels!
Arrived mid- morning per arrangement and took the rest of the day for a side trip into Sacramento. Lovely, quiet spot off-street, great host. Thank you so much for the superb stay. Come visit us in Central Oregon!
Thank you so much for hosting us. Chico was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and had fun talking about travel.
Very friendly host! Wish covid wasn't happening so we could have visited some more. Really quiet and a very level parking spot.
S and K are very gracious hosts who allowed us to park in their wide flat concrete driveway with a 30 amp plug in. Peaceful quiet neighborhood. S gave us tips for when we travel to upper michigan next year. We hope to be back sometime.
Though it may not seem like it when you first arrive, Foothills Paradise was all 3 of those. We were looking for a place to stay for a night while we visited Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico and loved our hosts so much we stayed another night!
We especially enjoyed their hospitality and gracious invite to join in a community pot luck! We meet so many wonderful people there.
If you like history and fitness trails (or just strolling) there's a converted old railroad that runs for several miles turned into a beautifully restored walk path and park just steps away from this property.
We really enjoyed our stay here and will be back!
We so enjoyed our visit in Paradise. Such a gracious couple and enjoyed looking at their yard , I felt it could be fattening. A feast of colors of azaleas, large and small bushes. Loved hearing of their hobbies and adventures.
Wonderful hosts, safe and quiet street in beautiful Paradise. Responded to my request quickly and I loved their dog too!
