Natalie- I am 24, a bit of a drifter, still figuring out what it is I want to do in the world. All I know is I love getting creative, being outside, trying new things and adding to my laughter lines.
Alex-I am 26, a qualified Arborist and an outdoor enthusiast. I have an interest in extreme sports, a passion for motors and I am a sucker for animals.
Together we made the bold move of coming to Canada on a two year working Visa with the aim of seeing as much of this vast Country as we can whilst being as thrifty as we can.
Natalie likes to cook, is a keen seamstress and will generally give anything a go!
Alex knows his way around chainsaws, is pretty hands on mechanically and likewise will give anything a go ... he's also the muscles!
We are yet to experience boondocking but cannot wait to learn the secrets!
Our favourite location in the UK to take the van was always the coast, North Devon and Cornwall are the most serene beaches with the nicest people.
We are from the Southwest of England, and were living in the County town of Somerset.
In order to save on accommodation we have purchased a 22ft 1984 Ford Econoline Rv who we have Christened 'Orwell', updated his interior, installed solar panels and we are stoked to try the 'Rolling home' way of life.
Nat and Alex were my first boondockers. They are the perfect guests. Respectful, pleasant and low-maintenance. It was fun to have them over in the winter, they are true RV warriors ! :-) We kept contact and I look forward to seeing them someday, somewhere on the globe. All the best for the rest of your Canada trip guys :-) They left me a few beers when they left, a very appreciated gesture. I don't know who parked the RV in my driveway, Nat or Alex, but that person sure can drive ! The RV was backed up perfectly symetrical, not an easy task on my busy street and narrow driveway !
It was great having this Brit couple for a couple of nights. They have a very adventurous and ambitious plan for the next two years. Dedicated animal lovers and very easy to accommadate. Hope to see them on their return trip.
What a delightful couple on their first RV adventure. Their rig is in great shape for its age and they're learning the ropes of RVing as they go along so I'm glad they found Boondockers Welcome early on. I expect our many wonderful host members will be a great source of advice or, perhaps, lend a tool should they need it. They are charming and courteous guests who are now welcome to come back and camp here anytime (whether we're home or not).
