Philip grew up and lived most of life in west Texas. Received MS degree from Texas A&M in geology. Worked for many years as petroleum Geologist. Now working as an insurance adjuster inspecting property claims resulting from severe weather events across the US. Karla grew up in Minneapolis, MN and went to law school at Univ of Denver. She is an attorney working for the US Courts. Our family enjoys biking and snow skiing. Previous passion was sailing our 37ft sailboat in the Mississippi Sound. Sold the boat and about to begin our RVing.
We have one medium sized dog ( Whippet breed) named Thibideaux. He is very friendly with his tail being more dangerous than his teeth. He seldom of ever barks.
To be determined.
Long Beach, MS is where we call home. Plan to retire to our cabin in Cedaredge, CO in a few years.

We want to thank Philip for being so nice to us! This was our first experience with Boondockers and it was GREAT! Philip was easy going and we had a lot in common. He has a wonderful family and hope we can get down that way soon.
Philip was a pleasure to have as a guest. Easy to communicate with and enjoyed chatting with him. Great to meet you!
My dog and I had a relaxing 2-night stay with Philip & Carla & family. Great level driveway complete with services (thank you sooo much!). Their lovely home is in a quiet neighbourhood - great for dog-walking - less than a 10-minute walk from spectacular, miles-long beaches. Just a great, safe place to spend the night and rest up before continuing my journey. Thanks again for being so welcoming!
Philip and his family were exceptionally gracious and generous hosts. We were only a short walk to Long Beach, a beach of white sand running for miles.
Phillip welcomed me with a friendly smile and conversation. Offered to help with my RV and later invited me to join the family for social time. The walk to the ocean was short and refreshing. Very much appreciated my stay there.
Less than a quarter mile from the beach. Warm welcome & tips on local stuff.
Hope to stay there coming back through here.
Philip met us at the house in the afternoon and helped me get the RV in the drive. Also guided us to a very good seafood restaurant just down the street. The only downside was the trains that were close to the house during the night, but it did not keep us awake, Thanks for a good boondocking experience.
Within walking distance of one of the prettiest beaches in the u.s.!
Staying at this location was great. Safe and quiet neighbourhood, save for those trains! Close to the beach and stores for easy convenience. The host was friendly, helpful and offered us lots of privacy. Highly recommended!
