Retired special ed teacher and semi-retired psychologist exploring the US and Canada. We are new to RV adventures, but enjoy the outdoors. We have been avid sea kayakers for 15 years and are planning to use the RV to explore new places to paddle (and return to some of our favorite places). We travel with bikes and Trak 2.0 kayaks--performance folding sea kayaks that fit nicely in the RV storage. We love to see the beautiful sights from the water.....
Enthusiasm, positive attitude, enjoy meeting people...
Near the water. We enjoy opportunities to go slow and see more-paddling, pedaling and walking.
Newtown, CT About 60 miles north of NY City. A quiet little town no one heard of until a few years ago when we had the tragic elementary school shooting. We really like our town, and live in the house Karen grew up in.
2017 Winnebago View 24G. 2 slides-rear and side. 25'6 long, 7'6" wide with slides in. Solar, diesel gen, and we travel with our TRAK folding sea kayaks and bikes.
RV kayakers were perfect guests. I was unfortunately away and unable to meet with them, but they left the site immaculate. I would prefer that my guests make a donation to a charity instead of paying for the use of my facilities, and these guests were very generous in their donation. Thank you very much! You are very welcome to return at any time.
Very enjoyable visit by a couple who clearly enjoy the outdoors. Great conversation, socially-distanced, on our back deck. Another example of meeting folks through Boondockers with whom we look forward to staying in touch. Wishing you the best in future kayak adventures and RV travels.
