Welcome to our boondocking site and we truly look forward to meeting you! We are excited to be joining this group of fellow RVers.
Kevin is recently retired from a 30-year career as a fire captain for the city of Chehalis. Julie is a stay-at-home mom/wife. Together we operate a wildland firefighting suppression business.
When we are not fighting fires we enjoy RVing and are looking forward to many travels around the United States.
Our first serious traveling adventure on the road was the year we graduated from college (Yea WSU Cougs!) and we hit the road in our pickup and camper. 2 1/2 months and 48 states later we were back in WA and working at our jobs. We have since hit the other two states. Over 30 years and a career later we are looking forward to traveling more in our semi-retirement. We are now looking forward to really experiencing the awesome sights our country has to offer at a more leisurely pace.
If you have minor repairs to be made or maintenance you need to do on your RV we may be able to help out. We have a well equipped shop and are more than happy to help a fellow RVer out with minor repairs. We have full sets of tools, welders, cutting torches and woodworking tools.
No pets at this time so we are more free for travel but pets are welcome at our Boondockerswelcome site.
South in the sunshine! We have had some great travels in the south but we also have many beautiful and enjoyable state parks in WA that we enjoy.
Chehalis is our nearby town with a population of 7000. A few miles from our home is a WalMart, Home Depot as well as all the other stores downtown. We also have a couple of RV stores nearby if you should need anything from there.
2014 32' Arctic Fox that we tow with our 2017 Ram 2500.
We enjoyed hosting Kevin & Julie as Boondockers at our home. They were friendly, and Kevin took the time to share information regarding his business with our son. They came to our door to let us know they were leaving the following day and even gave us a chocolate mint candy bar from the area they live in. We would gladly host them again!
Kevin and Julie stayed with me in Tucson one night while on their way back North to their home in Chehalis Washington from Galveston Texas where they were helping with their church to rebuild homes that were damaged or lost due to the recent hurricane. They are so friendly and fun to converse with. They have a brand new beautiful 5th-wheel which really prettied up my parking spot. I hope to see them again in the future for a longer stay and perhaps boondock at their property someday.
We really enjoyed the evening with Kevin and Julie. It is always interesting to visit with people from another area of the world to peek into how they live. This couple was easy to talk to and very interesting. I'm confident anyone hosting this couple will enjoy their company.
Great hosts and very welcoming, even though they weren't home at the time. We contacted them and even though they were away volunteering they offered us their spot. We really didn't expect this and were very grateful. We waited for them to come back so we could thank them in person. The spot is nice, large and private. Great experience and hopefully we'll be back in the area to say hi.
I was blown away by their hospitality. The location is beautiful and hosts incredibly friendly and generous. I would highly recommend to anyone.
What a beautiful treat to stay here. Deer passing through in the morning and a nice quiet garden and yard. They are so hospitable. A loving family and so engaging. I would stay here again in a second. The spot was great also, so level with amenities. Like a class A RV resort, except you are one of the only occupants. I wish I could have stayed longer.
Very nice place not too far off the highway. The primitive campsite is absolutely perfect! Didn't have the chance to meet Julie, but Kevin was very welcoming and easygoing. Would go back anytime we are in the area!
Kevin & Julie's hospitality was was and genuine. We were greatly blessed not just by the provision of a lovely boondocking site, but primarily by their cheerful and encouraging presence. It will be a blessing to be able to host them in return one day, Lord willing.
We stayed one night, along with a few other boondockers. The hosts were away, but still allowed fellow RVers use their property. Amazing. We did meet them in the morning, and they are very nice people! I wish we would have had time to stay longer so we could have gotten to know them better. This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and got us off to a great start!
We spent two nights with them although wew were only able to spend time with them our last morning. The site is just great. Level and roomy..and aour conversation and the stacking of firewood with other boondockers was great fun. Kevin and Julie did all that anyone could yo make is feel at home.
Kevin and Julie are just good people!! We loved getting to know them and they were some of the best hosts we've stayed with! Not just because of Julie's zucchini bread :) Look forward to seeing these two again in the future!
Both Kevin & Julie were great hosts and have a beautiful setting for overnighting! One night we got home to find that Kevin and Julie had started a fire and were visiting with the other BoonDockers that were also staying. A great stay and very hospitable folks! Mark & Patsi
We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday at Kevin and Julie's property. It was an incredible spot and they allowed us to use their 30 amp hookup as well as water. We even dumped our gray water tank on our way out the next morning. They were a delight to talk to and we would highly suggest them to other boondockers in the area. Thank you, Kevin and Julie for a great place to rest a couple nights.
This was a perfect stop for me. On the way to the Olympic Peninsula, not far off the highway. Several spots, nice and level. The hosts were so kind. We had a chance to visit and a campfire with two other boondockers. Really pretty spot and such nice people! So glad people are willing to host!
Kevin & Julie were wonderful hosts! Very welcoming, friendly and personable. We sat around the fire pit with 2 other boondockers and our hosts and traded travel stories and tips. Just a great experience, this is what Boondockers Welcome is all about..... Thanks Kevin & Julie, hope to see you in Florida sometime.
Kevin and Julie were wonderful hosts to us for our one night stay. They provided excellent communication about their plans and instructions. Their home and property is beautiful and just far enough away from freeways and towns to be in the country yet still be accessible. Deer munched grass near the trailer while we relaxed inside. Cows were nearby and helped to create an aura of quiet country life. Kevin has water, power and sewer connections available, but we didn't need them. The site is level, nicely graveled and easily accessed from the road. Turnaround space was ample. Finally, I just have to say how great these people are. We talked with them for an hour or more after they came home from their family obligations. We just had such a wonderful time with them. Thanks Kevin and Julie!!!!
Although Kevin was fighting fires away from home they still excepted us to stay on thier property with full hookups. Julie immidiatly let us feel at home which she left open for us at all time. I think we will stay here for ever.... More people like those two will make the world a better place. Thank you very much Kevin and Julie.
Kevin and Julie were fantastic hosts, going above and beyond in ensuring we had everything we needed while we were visiting as well as to be on our way again. We unfortunately didn't get to meet Kevin, but Julie was very welcoming & helped us with some tools we needed to make some minor repairs. Their space was lovely and we enjoyed exploring the nearby town of Chehalis. Thanks very much for a great boondocking experience, hope to see you down the road.
Kevin and Julie's space is so beautiful. I feel like I'm in a park (a well-manicured park). The space is off the road behind a large shop and is surrounded by green. It's very peaceful. Even though they were off on their own adventures, they were wonderful hosts - responsive, accommodating, and gave clear instructions on how to get here and where to park. Thank you so much for making my first Boondockers Welcome experience a great one!
We stayed 2 times (once when we were going north and once when went in the south). They are very nice and friendly people. They made us very comfortable and made all the facilities available. Thank you very much for your great welcoming!
