The spot at the Old Turkey Barn was perfect. Easy in & out, right off the main highways, quiet, & within walking distance of the local city park. I was able to walk my dog & we even got to watch a couple of softball games too.
Ed greeted us right when he got off work. Very nice fellow! Showed us his vintage Airstream and just let us enjoy a few peaceful days under the old oak tree. Dog park near by also g with hiking trails
We had to make some accommodation adjustments due to our height but made it work just fine. Ed is a nice guy and was very helpful in making our stay possible. Thanks again, Ed!
My stay at the Old Turley Barn was very nice. Very quiet, easy parking and The Geeky Nerd left out the electric for me. There is a very nice dog park just down the hill, as well as a baseball park. I don't have a dog, but if I did I would have really liked the park for them.
An event at the Baxter County fairground brought me to Mountain Home and into contact for an overnight stay. The Geeky Nerd responded quickly to my messages, and even though he wasn't in town for that weekend, he made sure I had all the information I needed to get to the location and set up for the night. The site is located near to town in a quiet neighborhood, was easy to back my 3/4 ton truck and 26' trailer into, flat and level, and has night lighting. Having power to run the trailer A/C was a terrific boon as the temperature that weekend exceeded 100 degrees, a real killer kind of heat with the humidity in Arkansas. I definately appreciated having a stay there!
Definitely recommend. The spot was perfect for us to get our bearings around the Mountain home area. Geeky Nerd was prompt with responses, flexible with dates and helpful with ideas. Thanks again.
