My husband and I started full-timing November 2013. Sadly, he passed away July 2015, after 44+ years of marriage. Fortunately, I believe, I went forward with our plans to travel along the Pacific Northwest, to BC, Canada, to Winnipeg, Manitoba, and follow the Mississippi to New Orleans, and come back to California along the Gulf. I was afraid I would get back to California after Thanksgiving if I went all the way to the Gulf, so I turned right at Memphis and headed home. It was a wonderful trip. Since then my trips have been shorter, but fun.
I am an experienced amateur photographer, love Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to work on them, and dabble in many different kinds of projects. I maintain a journal fairly regularly, which I hope to convert into a blog one of these days. I love traveling this country, and Canada, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and checking life out generally.
Sophie is my companion and is about 40-45 pounds, pretty well behaved, except that she can be a little exuberant around friends. She is pretty darned good about not barking, and her mistress is religious about cleaning up after her, as I think it is important for the dog owners who come after me.
My RV is a 33 foot 2013 Class A Thor Hurricane, and I tow and 2013 Honda Fit.
We will talk.
My brown lab mix, Sophie, will be 8 May 10, 2018. Hard to believe, She is still a puppy in many ways, but has settled way down in others, She is beautiful, sleep, short-haired, runs like the wind, loves people, barks at dogs, is in good health, and is my daily companion.
I am full timing. I like to spend the winters in Ojai, where I have a lot of friends, and it is somewhat close to Los Angeles, where I have more friends.
