We (Steve and Linda) are both in Healthcare. We just started Travel Nursing in April 2017, We have many places we want to see, but work keeps getting in the way. lol. Trying to make dreams a Reality.
Gardening (herbs for food, medicine & crafting)
We are relatively new to boondocking but have spent plenty of dry camping nights in truck stops, parking lots, and a few kind Boondockers Welcome hosts in our coast to coast travels. We are thankfully equipped with a Honda super quiet generator to go anywhere we want.
Frenchtown is a little tourist town, 6 miles south of here. 1 square mile town, full of shops, restaurants, 2 bars, and 2 nature trails.(one in the boro park [1mile loop] and the other is the D&R trial [old train tracks, covered with stone to ride bikes, walk, run, and visit the river.] along the Delaware river.)
We love our 2017 Forest River Heritage Glenn travel trailer that we pull with our 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. (quite a year for upgrades). I (Steve) work as a travel OR tech so our travel trailer is home for 10-13 weeks at a time plus travel to and from each assignment. While we prefer electric and water (don't we all?), we are self contained enough for a night or two without amenities especially if we just need to sleep for a few hours in transit.
AdventureShoes stayed with us and we didn’t get to visit much but I’m sure we’ll meet up again in our travels 🤗 such a wonderful couple that is welcome to stay here anytime!!
We stayed one night in this nice area and enjoyed total privacy and quiet. It’s only a short distance from Milford and Frenchtown. Good area for kayaking, biking and walking. There’s a lot to see and we’ll surely be back. The hosts were in touch and ready to answer any questions. We ate at the Bagels Near The Bridge place and had exceptional bagels. Very good place to eat. . Milford is cute and small, but slowly developing artisan foods and beer. We bought some great aged cheddar from the farm market. The bike trail connecting Milford to farther down the river is coming soon and currently stops in Frenchtown. You can ride for miles and miles. You’ll love this area as much as we did. Safe, secure and quiet.
Some of the friendliest people we've ever met! Even though we didn't have much time to visit they provided us with tons of useful information about the surrounding area and answered all of the questions we had for our other plans. The ringing rock park is very close by and we had the whole place to ourselves to explore! They also pointed us in the right direction for riding a bus out of Frenchtown, NJ (about 10 minutes away) to NYC. We caught an early bus to Port Authority in Times Square and spent the day exploring Manhattan and rode the bus back to Frenchtown with no problems.
We would absolutely visit them again if we are in the area again someday!
Had a great stay, couple was very friendly and helpful.
Site was nice and quite and had plenty of privacy. We would return again if it was on our route.
So sorry I was not feeling up to socializing grandchildren cheering they're cold and flu
