Pam and I just celebrated 48 years of marriage, and love to travel. This will be our first RV trip; and we're excited about experiencing the parks and vistas in the western part of our country. We believe that the boondocker hosts will provide the same type of warm hospitality that we've enjoyed when staying at B&B's overseas. Our travel dates are from April 1, 2018, through mid-May, 2018. We are appreciative of travel advice from those who have a lot of RV experience, traveling from Northern Virginia to and up the California coast.
Pam's a great organizer and our family's communications director. She retired from teaching Social Studies/History at the high school level. I enjoy carpentry, sailing, hiking and being out of doors. We both love new experiences when traveling. I try and keep a travel diary and enjoy taking photos of our trips. I am a retired Certified Financial Planner and Insurance Agent with New York Life.
We have a five year old, very friendly and well behaved, Portuguese Water Dog named Captain Jack. He'll be traveling with us. Our concerns are focused on his being allowed at host sites as well as within the national parks.
We haven't started this trip yet.....so are looking forward to experiencing this fantastic opportunity to meet new folks while visiting beautiful parts of our country!
We lived in Manassas, Va. for over 30 years; and Pam grew up there. We moved full-time in Nags Head, NC in October, 2016. We love being near the water, and a slower pace of life. Our two adult daughters own homes near-by.
Were renting a 25 foot RV from Cruise America. It is self contained and can also be hooked up to water & electricity.
