We are a retired sales/carpenter/handyman and high school counselor/writer couple from AZ, getting our feet wet and trying to go full time RVing in our Class A motorhome. We have no pets, prefer a quiet, country setting (but tolerate cities, too), and love getting to know new and interesting people. When we include our car on a trailor, that makes us about 52' long. Thanks for graciously allowing our fellow RVers to stay at your home. We'd sure enjoy meeting you!
Larry's a former farmer, a very knowledgeable, all-around handyman, the fix-it-all person who keeps us on the road (technically AND mechanically), and a pretty good guy with the computer stuff as well. In fact, he built our website, www.gettinourkicks.com.
Betty has done a lot of different things, and spent the majority of her career (and retired as) a high school career counselor. But, her most favorite assignments were those received as a freelancing travel writer for Arizona Highways and other publications. She's written and published a book (currently out of print), and is working to make it available as an Ebook. Betty's the writer for the website, where she chronicles our trip down The Mother Road, Route 66. Her most frequently requested foods-to-share are salads and fruitcake. Not many would call her gourmet, but she's really a pretty good cook, an even better organizer, a stellar conversationalist, and more than a few of her friends call on her for decorating advice.
Since full retirement in 2015, we've been working on a house finishing/remodeling project, traveling and housesitting. We're really hoping to go full time RVing, very soon.
We love the country, forrest, woods, ranch or farm, but also appreciate an appropriately accommodating suburban setting. Water is a BIG plus and a good view and shade are much appreciated. Larry's pretty skilled at maneuvering the big girl into difficult places.
We hail from Prescott, AZ
Class A, 1999 Coachman in very good condition, pulling a trailered car = approximately 54'. We have two slide outs and an awning and look pretty (middle-class) normal. We have a generator, but nothing REALLY loud and obnoxious. Nothing funky looking at all.
