We are recently retired and going full-time RV. I have seen most of the lower 48 states while my wife has seen a handful. When we went to Kansas to purchase our RV she was amazed at the beauty and expanse of our country. We look forward to spending weeks at a time in each of the states on our RV state stick on map.
I have several skill sets. Half of my working career was spent in marketing and sales. That ended with the Tax Reform Act of 1986. Then, I looked for a job that would not be put out of business by the US government. I chose trucking. I bought a truck and leased to an expedite company. We always had business and the company was very generous with their leasing package. Last month I sold my truck and now look forward to driving our RV across this great land. So, I can market ideas that provide hope for a better future. And, I can turn a wrench on a large diesel powered 18 wheeler.
We have three well loved designer dogs - a morkie, a chiweenie, and a basset retriever mix. They are well behaved.
We belong to Thousand Trails and have an Encore RV Park affiliation. Between Thousand Trails and Encore there are 170 plus RV Parks to venture across 41 states. We plan to spend time in as many of them as is possible over the next decade or two.
I am an Army brat. Born in Columbia, SC. Followed Dad to Panama and Germany. Kept on coming back to Columbia, SC between foreign deployments. Finally settled just north of Atlanta, GA. My wife was born and raised in Marion, Indiana. Her grandparents lived in Madison, GA. She would spend holidays and summers in Madison. Her family moved to Dunwoody, GA back in the late 70s.
2003 Itasca Sunflyer 39T. Bought it used this year - 2016 - with only 12,300 miles on it. Looked like it had just come out of the showroom. It has two slides and measures 39.6 feet nose to tail. We have a 2009 Honda Fit for our toad.
