Hello! We're a family of 3 that has a very simple goal in life: each year has to be as new and exciting as the one before. This year, it was selling the house, living in our trailer full-time and traveling the US. Last year was taking the slow train through France and Italy and visiting Xi'An. The year before, our little girl Mina was born in China where we lived for 2 years. Juggling crazy adventures, raising a child and having two families at opposite ends of the world is not always easy, but it's never boring!
Franc is an ESL teacher to young children with a BA in adventure tourism. He's using his super-nerdy researching skills to bring Nannan's crazy ideas to reality.
Nannan is a heavy machinery operator with an infectious laugh. If it's yellow and weights more than 10 tons, she can drive it! She's the go-to person when Franc's plans fall appart at the last minute. She can also cook a mighty Chao Mien in about 5 minutes in a parking lot.
Mina's goal in life is easy: eat her own bodyweight in snacks. She also likes Japanese cartoons, playing in the mud and birds.
She's an awesome cook and he can speak 4 languages.
We love living anywhere as long as we're together
We've lived in Montreal, Saguenay further north, Sept-Îles even further north, Tianjin China and Fernie British Columbia
2013 24RLS Keystone Cougar travel trailer. 29' total length, 7000 lbs towed by a 2010 F-150 named Batman.
Really nice family. It was good spending time with them and chatting. Their young daughter was well behaved and enjoyed spending time with the other children that were camping here. They are welcome back anytime
Franc and Nannan spent three nights with us, as their truck was in need of repairs. They are a lovely young couple with a delightful daughter. Franc was able to tell us about some great camping areas in our own state, which we didn't know about. They were great guests, and were respectful of our property. We would love to host them again if they were in our area.
While I didn't get to meet them in person, I had a very good and informative series of emails to set up the stay at my place in North Florida and from all reports they were very nice and left the campsite clean and neat. I would definitely enjoy having them visit again in the future and perhaps our paths will cross as my wife and I travel later in the year. Happy Camping Y'all
Francandnannan were wonderful guests. They stopped on their way to south Florida from Canada. We were their first Boondockers Welcome stop and they were our first guests! What a great family. I hope they consider staying with us a few days on their way home.
