We farm the family farm and I am semi retired now. I also drive my semi in the 5 state area. We live in southern Minnesota on what was once was prairie. We now live among corn and soybean fields.
We love camping and meeting new people. We have also done some traveling over seas.
We like riding bike and kayaking in the summer and down hill skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
My wife is a retired florist and bookkeeper. She loves working in her flower gardens, scrapbooking and making cards.
We have the tools to repair many things
We have not been Boondocking, yet. We like to camp at State Park Campgrounds and near a lake or bike trails. We like to get to know other campers and share a camp fire.
our home town does not have many amenities, but it does have a dump station. We live close to a town about 20 Minutes away with grocery stores, a small mall, lakes for boating, bike and walking trails, & swimming pool. In August they host the County Fair. 45 minutes from us the town has a larger shopping area, a state park with water falls and a herd of buffalo that you can view.

Prairie Farm is easy to find just a little ways down a very well maintained county road. The site was level, easy to pull thru, and offered 50 Amp electric and water.
We spent a very restful night after being welcomed and made to feel at home.
We will request again when in the area and recommend to others.
This was a really quiet and rural location, easy to get to down a short gravel road. Hosts were so very nice to accommodate me on short notice. They provided me with much needed electricity so I could stay warm with my 2 cats! I would have enjoyed hanging out with them a bit more but it didn't work out with our schedules. They seem really knowledgeable about all things RV.
We quite enjoyed our stay here! Our hosts were very friendly and inviting. Thier place is quiet and peaceful. We were greatful for a place to stop and get some work done, and still have a big area for our dog to play ball. And the long country road made for nice evening stroll.
We had a great time here on our second visit. It was so nice to spend a few extra days for more conversation, card games and pizza al fresco. We returned favor by hosting a taco night followed by dessert. There was a strong storm that knocked down some trees the day after we arrived, but we enjoyed helping clean up the debris on the farm the following day complete with tractor ride! There is plenty of room for our big rig here. It's ez to get to and roads are nice and open. Hosts are so friendly, they are like family to us now... in a good way!
This was a perfect quiet spot for our family of four after a longer travel day. It was lovely eating in the screened gazebo overlooking their gorgeously maintained gardens. We woke to birds singing and were able to peacefully drink our coffee and look over our next plans while the kids slept in. The physical location is very easy for a big rig and tow vehicle to pull in, around and out and they even offered 50 amp electric. The hosts had helpful maps prepared of the area as well as a little history of the farm and how to use things while there. They are obviously caring and thoughtful people, and that is exactly what I want my kids to learn from our year on the road-- all the ways people are kind and caring in our country and how families have settled and taken care of the land. I loved learning the history of the home and meeting a sibling who was visiting as well.
Very nice people who provided us with a beautiful view of their garden. We had everything we needed, and they gave us information about the surrounding area. Easy drive off the interstate; we felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again.
What a beatiful place, with super hosts! So grateful to have a super spot to stay!
Our stay there was wonderful. 50 amp electric was wonderful. This is a really quiet and peaceful place. Super sweet people, she had a map of the nearest town with lakes we could take our boards to play! The afternoon storm was bringing hail and they even offered for us to ride out the storm in the basement if we needed. Would definitely recommend this stop!
They are wonderful hosts and invited us into their garden oasis for lovely conversation. This Boondockers parking space is everything a big rig needs. Thank you so much.
The prairie farm hosts were SO WONDERFUL!! We were incredibly (and embarassingly) late, and they didn't even blink twice... we were welcomed with kindness and grace. Spent a little time talking in the morning learning a bit about the property and this lovely couple. Such a pleasant experience! Would (and hope/plan to) glam-dock here again. Thanks very much!
These "friends" are almost our neighbors...We thought it would be fun to check out a boondocker nearby so stayed one night at their farm. Their flower garden in the back of the house is something to behold...beautiful. Lots of flowers, a pond with a trickle of water running, beautiful rocks etc. etc. We sat in their screened-in-porch on the patio and had a nice visit. Wish we could have visited longer, but we were anxious to get on the road the next am...so missed saying goodbye. We would suggest that you book a night with them.
Very nice land, not far off highway 90, well worth the mile of gravel road! Very friendly couple, warm welcome. Would recommend to anyone passing by!
