Retired Canadian husband and wife couple in our early 60's. We have just begun a new experience of oceanside living in our new home on the south shore of Nova Scotia. At our classic, waterfront home located in the beautiful Shelburne Harbour we are ready to welcome new guests in the Spring, Summer and Fall months. When permitted, we travel south in the winter months with our RoadTrek or sometimes our vintage gulfstream trailer. We are both former Canadian Military Officers with careers in Air Traffic Control. We have a friendly, large red dog named Sonny who travels with us. When we travel, he gets great reviews!...lol We enjoy outdoor activities like walking, bicycling, fishing, boating and kayaking. We are always outdoors whether at home or on the road! No matter hot or chilly weather, we will be outdoors on the wharf or perhaps putting a fire on!
We enjoy meeting new people and enjoy patio chats with an afternoon cocktail.
Mostly we are content to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Cheers!
happy to give some insight into Roadtrek related issues as we have almost 10 years experience and ownership of ours. Husband says he would like to forget that he knows how to do anything...as he can do most everything but likes to remind me that he is retired now...!
Sonny is our friendly, large, red dog who travels with us.

new to Shelburne, Nova Scotia
Year 2011 class B, Roadtrek 210Popular, white. It is the perfect fit for us with the large fridge, half time oven, full bathroom, generator/inverter and twin beds (so the dog can sleep between us). And we love what we call the slide-out Wine Bar hidden under the counter. We have named our Roadtrek "YUMA", as in "Yet Undiscovered Motorhome Adventures"...210 to YUMA...yay! We use this RV if we do a lot of sight-seeing type travelling. We sometimes travel with our 2019 20 foot Gulfstream Vintage travel trailer and a Ford F150 truck. The trailer has no slides and is easily maneuverable. We use it only when we plan to stay at one travel location for a long period of time. We don't mind boondocking but always appreciate a plugin if available as we have no on-board generator. We will be sure to indicate which rig we are travelling in when we request a stay.
Gitty210 contacted us because they weren't receiving notifications about messages. We have now rectified that so their response rate should improve in future.
This couple of Canadian snowbirds spent one night with us as they were traveling through our area. They are friendly, polite and appreciative. Their dog Sonny was a pleasure to have around he is so friendly and happy. We would welcome them to come again.
Safe journey to them.

We enjoyed hosting these folks, and they hardly complained when we put them to work bottling wine with us! Of course they got to sample it. We shared some laughs, played music for them, and we'd welcome them (and their dog) back any time. Their dog Sonny is well behaved, and he got along with our dog (who's very easygoing). He had fun running on the property.
We hope to see them again on our travels, possibly this summer at their home. It would be great to get together.
It was a pleasure to host this couple and their well behaved dog. They are welcome to come back and stay again and I hope someday I can pay them a visit up north. I wish them good luck with their travels.
I recommend Blackpool, I had a great time chatting with them and brought them a delicious apple pie from THE BIG APPLE
They helpes me out with the drone who acted irradically and land in water! They were extremly nice and i felt as i was meeting a past friend!
Thx for everything!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this very friendly couple. Their property is exceptional with a beautiful waterfront view.
The parking spot was flat , spacious and had a great view too
I’d highly recommend coming to this host.
Our hosts gitty210 were nothing short of fabulous....and the location equally so!!
They not only made us feel very welcome while we were there, but Mrs-Gitty210 provided us with a ton of very useful travel tourist info, for both the trip there as well as after we left (both of which we found very helpful).
They have a lovely location on the waterway and the grounds of their property are park-like. We sat on their deck with them until after dark and passed an excellent evening of nice conversation. They are very experienced RVs, who were enthusiastic in sharing all kinds of useful information to us newcomer RVers. We would highly recommend this location, not only (for us) as a way to become familiar with the Kawartha lakes area, but also to meet like-minded friendly folks.
We Stayed at the beautiful home of gitty210. It was fantastic! We enjoyed sititng in front of the lake enjoying a glass of wine with the view!
The place is amazing but we are wordless about the host. They make us feel like we were at home!
Will repeat that experience anytime if we pass by.

This warm, friendly couple made me so welcome and even let me stay a second night. They have an outstanding lake front location and a beautiful big red dog. I would love to meet up with them again, either on the road or at their home. Happy trails...
As relatively new boondockers we aren’t quite sure what we will find when we reach our destination. Upon our arrival at Blackpool, we were greeted by Sonny the hosts’ well behaved dog. The hospitality extended to us was unexpected but certainly appreciated. Bruce and Birgit are seasoned boondockers who generously shared many helpful hits with us.
It would be wonderful to meet this couple on the road.

We really enjoyed our stay with Brigitte and Bruce. Loved sitting on the deck enjoying a cup of coffee and sharing camping and ROADTREK experiences. Great couple, great site.
Tried to contact Gitty210 in April and in July. We received no response to our e-mails. Wonder if they are still accepting boondocking guests. We have a 27 foot travel trailer with solar panels, and no pets, so would be easily accommodated.
