We, Eileen/Elton John, are a Christian family. Just to let you know that we will be traveling from Sept. 20-Oct. 8 but you are welcome to come and stay as our son lives across the road and can assist you with anything you need. The farm we live on has been in the family since 1880, with lots of open space and a beautiful setting. Watch the sun or moon rise, see the sun set. You can park near the trees if you want shade, or on the grass or on the gravel. There is room for your pets to roam. We have a fire pit in our back yard that we would be willing to share. There is a house next door, but not too close and also houses across the road from where you park, but it is all our property. Our son lives in one of the houses and runs the farm. We have done some traveling and hope to do more. We have enjoyed meeting and visit with other RV'ers who have stayed with us. We receive the Motorhome magazine (and get the TrailerLife from our other son) and enjoy reading about others travels.
Groups are welcome to come and stay. We can host more than 5 RV's, but would not have electric and water hookups for everyone. You are also welcome to stay more than one night if you'd like to visit the attractions in our area.
If your "pets" are horses they are welcome at our place.
As this is a working farm that has a large shop where we fix all our equipment we can usually be of some help in the area if mechanics. Maybe some one could teach me more computer skills.
We have a cat that lives outside. The neighbors have dogs that often come over but are friendly and enjoy meeting visiting dogs.
At our friends and relatives!
Elk Mound, WI
We have a 2000 34' Monaco with 1 slide.
We needed a quick one night stay traveling home after the holidays. Snow everywhere. They had the entire area plowed out. So accommodating. Love the host and location. We will make this a regular stop on our way home.
Fantastic country setting. Wonderful hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. They also have a great airbnb. If coming down this way again I will make sure to Stop in here again
Wonderful place to spend a peaceful night surrounded by cornfields. Hosts weren't there but gave us permission to stay. After a quiet night their son came by to see us in the morning. lovely spot!
Such kind people to let us stay at their home. Eau Claire has great biking, and the country roads are scenic and beautiful. Thank you so much for a peaceful spot to set up shop!
We had a quiet, enjoyable stay at Country Space. We also were able to spend some time with our very personable hosts sharing our adventures with each other. We would definitely come back!
Country Space was an awesome location. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
They even gave us a lift down to the sweet corn patch in their side-by-side and showed us how to pick good corn and told us to take as much as we wanted. The kids got to pick and shuck their own corn, which was also very tasty!
Just really nice people and a great place to stay. Very safe, quite, and out of the way.
We also day tripped into Minneapolis to check out Mall of America. (1.5 hour drive)
We had such a good time! It was so good to learn about farming corn and soy beans. Such a nice location, only a few miles to town and surrounded by corn. Hope to meet up again sometime.
I really appreciated the stay at this lovely Wisconsin farm. Such friendly people and so accommodating. Hope to make it back again one day!
These hosts have a large farm property and are very welcoming. We really enjoyed our time here. Thank you.
Fantastic site with beautiful farm views. Generous and fun, super friendly hosts! P&J
Quiet country with good hearted hosts. A very restful night
Nice oasis away from the highway with an easy in and out. Hosts made us feel as family, Very generous.
Lovely, quiet place to stay in the country. Although, you can hear the corn growing at night.(LOL). Great hosts, love to share stories of their life in Wisconsin and to hear your stories. Highly recommend them.
Host were extremely friendly - even invited us to a family ballgame. We got to camp next to a cornfield and woke to the corn rustling in the breeze —it was great. They even sent us off with blueberries from their garden—couldn’t ask for much more. We have a great time visiting Eau Claire and were blown away by the tour of the Mable Tainter Center Theater in Memonoie!! Would definitely recommend this location to others. (Sorry it took so long —I though I had already sent a rec!!)
Though we were only there for the night, our hosts were more than gracious in sharing their home and freshly picked blue berries from the garden. The best part was getting a great nights sleep with country fresh air circulating through the RV and the waking to the sound of Mr. Rooster calling out to the sun rise. When plotting our next trip to this area, we will definitely stay here again and HIGHLY recommend anyone else to visit.
They were so welcoming to any part of their land they welcomed my kids and dogs hold heartedly! One of our best stays were sad to leave!
Our Country Space hosts made us feel very much at home. We were even welcomed into their home for a rhubarb dessert! They also shared lots of great information about their trip to Alaska, a trip that is at the top of our bucket list. We will definitely return if in the area, and welcome them to come stay by us anytime.
Eileen and Elton are warm and friendly down home people. This is the true Wisconsin life experience. Elton’s smile will tell you that you will be friends for life and Eileen makes you feel like you’re at an ice cream social. You will never need for anything during your stay. We look forward to our next visit.
Hosts had clearly marked the driveway with a sign and came out to greet us and point out where to park to be near water and electricity. She even offered a surge protector to guard us against any unexpected surges off the pole access. The friendly neighborhood dog trotted up the lane to say hello as well. Dark and quiet overnight; I imagine would be great for stargazing when the skies are clear.
Loved our stay here the host were so friendly and gave us a lot of information. I would recommend it. Thank you again.
Hosts were out of town attending boondockerswelcome conference. Son Tony was very accommodating. We even had two additional boondockers one night. Great location to explore the area. Highly recommend to fellow boondockers
We really appreciated the hospitality of our hosts' family members who welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a jewel of a place, quiet, safe, and very comfortable. You are surrounded by farming/agricultural countryside and have a terrific view available. We hope to return if in this part of WI again.
Owners were out of town during our visit but we did have 2 other RVers to chat with. Our kids want to return to see more of the farm.
What wonderful people these two are! We actually stayed during Spring planting time so it was very busy on the farm. With all that they still had time for conversations about Alaska adventures and cooking!!
Great experience and we would stay with them again.
Country Space was very accommodating. Plenty of room for a bigger rig if needed. We spent our days walking the farm and enjoying the festivities in near-by Eau Claire. The hosts went out of their way to inform us of special events happing in the area like the local water-ski team performing at the local park. We also had a pleasant fireside chat when the weather held up.
It was a very peaceful and serene stay. The hosts couldn't be more accommodating, and the surroundings are beautiful.
Eileen and Elton are very gracious hosts. Made a quick one-night stop. We had a grassy, level spot with good access to satellite. Although we had to unhook our tow vehicle, it was easy to maneuver in and out of the yard- lots of room. Follow directions provided by the hosts as our GPS could not locate them precisely. But it's pretty easy access off of I-94, north of Eau Claire.
What a wonderful place to stay. Very easy to find and not far from the main highway. The hosts were not home when I arrived, but there was a sign at the entry to their property that said, "Welcome Boondocker." Hosts arrived a short time later and made recommendations on where to set up my RV along with recommendations on things to see in the area. They even shared their sweet corn and cucumbers as it was in season and they had excess. Although initially booked for only one night, I ended up staying for three. This is a working farm and everybody that stopped by was very friendly, including the dogs from across the street who came over to meet my dog.
First time boondocking with the site. Very happy with our stay. Great directions with lots of room. Pleasure to stay at this location. Definitely recommend.
This was a great site out in the country. Our hosts had a beautiful property and were very accommodating. We were able to hook up to water & electricity. There was another boondocker on site as well but there was enough room to give us privacy. Our kids had plenty of room to run around and ride bikes. They allowed us to pick some sweet corn from their crop, and it was so good! We also had a nice campfire with them. It was another great stay with a BW host.
Great couple. Had nice conversations. Picked corn. Only 15 min to eau Claire which is a great town for biking or walking as well as dining.
When we arrived at Mrs.Eileen and Mr.Elton’s farm we were simply guest passing through. We did not leave there the same! We were visiting Wisconsin on a mission trip and had only inquired to stay with them for a few days. We ended up staying at the farm much much longer and as we left we felt much more like family! We learned so much during our time on the farm. We couldn’t soak in enough of the knowledge these two had about farming and life in general, and they were so wonderful sharing it with us! We were able to share life with Mrs.Eileen and Mr.Elton for several weeks. We attended church with them, we spoke about Christ with them,we ate with them, we laughed with them. Our family grew abundantly during our time with their family. They loved on our children, who became eternally fond of Mrs.Eileen and Mr.Elton, they took them to see corn crops and to pick berries, to water flowers and make deserts. We quickly became a part of their normal daily lives and we enjoyed every single minute of it. Our little ones quickly made friends with the other little ones on the farm and all of our hearts were forever molded by our experience. Mrs.Eileen and Mr.Elton quickly put us to work on the farm roofing buildings that needed some attention and we were glad to help out! We can not wait for the next chance to get back to WI and visit with them again. Mrs.Eileen and Mr.Elton will forever be a part of our lives from here on. They are a rare and incredible family and we became to love them quickly.
This was our first boondocking experience and I have a feeling the rest of our stays will have a hard time measuring up to this one.
We had such a lovely to nights staying at this location. Such friendly hosts. Really enjoyed talking to them each evening.
We had a nice stay at Eileen and Elton John's farm. Eileen gave us a tour of the farm, she also showed us how to pick sweet corn! We picked some for dinner and more to bring home, it is so delicious! She also gave us freshly picked blueberries and cucumbers! Eileen has a really neat photo album of all her guests so far, it was nice to see so many of her memories as a Boondockers Welcome host! We would definitely stop here again if we are passing through!
Had a great time on their farm. We where greeted upon our arrival and made to feel right at home. They made us feel like family and we look forward to seeing them again.
They were very accommodating to allow us to stay overnight last minute. Very peaceful location! Nice couple that made us feel very welcome.
I just don't see how an overnight spot could be any better. Gracious hosts and I even learned a lot about farming and electricity.
Best Boondocking experience ever. Country Space is the place to be. Wonderful host and very hospitable. The owners made us feel like family the moment we arrived. We intended on spending one night but it was so enjoyable we spent 3 nights as we had the time before our next reservation began. Not sure when we will be back in the area as we do travel the USA full time but if the opportunity ever arrises, we will return to visit. Can't say enough positive about our stay.
Eileen and Elton treated us like family! There were two other Boondockers there when we arrived and their farm still had plenty of room for our coach. Eileen invited all of us for dessert on the porch after dinner. We met the other Boondockers and enjoyed the best homemade rubarb dessert I have ever had! If you get the invite for Eileen's dessert, don't miss it!!! We had a great conversation about the history of the farm and what it takes to be a family farm in today's world. We also connected with the other Boondockers.
We had a repair appointment the following morning and left early. Eileen offered to let us stay if we had a problem. We would have loved to spend a few days here. If we are traveling through the area in the future, we will stop and see Eileen and Elton. It was peaceful and Eileen and Elton are friends now.
Eileen and Elton are great host. They treated us like family. This was a great stop, possibly the best stop of our 3 month trip. The family farm has real life history, a learning experience for us. We loved our visit.
Don and Nancy
This is a working farm with the nicest people you will meet. Our stay was way too short (4 days) but we will be back.
This is one of the finest couple there is. It is a wonderful place to stay. These people are the greatest they love to tell you all about their farm & the area. We were able to meet a family from New Zeland who were here traveling the US in a converted greyhound bus. It is so exciting to be able to travel & meet these wonderful host & fellow travelers.
We stayed here and were spoilt by Country Space who bought us tomatoes and beet from her garden! We are so grateful for being able to share in a fire pit night with them, on a perfect evening, with another couple who were fun also. We were given space to spend hours homeschooling and felt so welcome, even though we ran out of time to tour around the farm for a look. Thank you for your kind hearts! The Kiwi Family!
This is hands down our favorite boondocking location. Although in my opinion it's not really boondocking because she lets you hook up to her water & electricity. These are just fantastic people who are eager to show you farming @ its best. We will definitely be back to stay here again. You must come stay here. Had a great cookout with these fine folks & and another family traveling our great country from New Zealand. Just a wonderful time.
We feel so lucky to have met this couple, they are the kindest people you could ever meet. They showed us around their beautiful farm, shared vegetables from their garden and so much more. We highly recommend Country Space, you will love them!
We spent a lovely quiet night at this place. The hosts were great, too bad we didn't have more time to spend with them.
We wish we had known them 40 years ago. Gracious, fast initial response and follow up. Thank you for letting us park our HUGE camper, but especially thank you for your company.
It is truly a working farm setting. These folks are so gracious, whatever we needed, they provided. Park anywhere and enjoy the scenery. They made us feel at home.
This was our very first time using Boondookerwelcome.com, and we were delighted with it<emoji> !! Being newbies using our RV for the first time on a longer camping trip, we kept changing our arrival time. Our hosts were so understanding and when we finally arrived they gave us helpful tips while we were trying to set-up our new home on wheels. We definitely will stop by and hopefully be able to spend more time.
Great hosts. We were greeted as we arrived and pretty much told we could park anywhere. Lots of grass to park on. Water and electric were near if we wanted it. Chickens and rooster across the yard gave us a real on-the-farm feel. it was great. Thank you Country Space.
