40 - something couple. We started our travel adventures sailing the East coast, now checking out Western public lands whenever we can!
Niña a 13lb chihuahua / terrier mix whom we adopted in Yuma, AZ. She spent the first two months of her life with us traveling through the SW in the RV.
We spend our Summer months on the coast of Maine, where the mountains meet the sea.
Sol is our new girl. She is a hard-walled flat-bed expedition truck camper. This is our first trip with her and we can’t wait to see what adventures we have together. Previous rigs: Luna is our 20 foot travel trailer. She has had a complete interior make over, and has traveled from Maine to California and back, three times! Soleil is our old truck camper. She also has had a complete interior makeover, and has been from Canada to Texas!
It was a special pleasure to visit with this delightful couple. They shared their book of memories from their extensive winter trip to the southwest. Our dog Ambyr loved having their little Nina to run and play with. We hope to visit them in Maine.
We made a special effort to see these folks again after hosting them at our place. Fun and friendly with many interests and a real talent for boondocking! Looking forward to seeing the custom truck camper they are planning to build and hearing about their future travel adventures.
I love the north woods and this was it! Interesting conversation around a fire. Fun visit with this great couple and their spunky pup.
Nearby Camden is a coastal gem.
Best of luck with your future adventures.
Bumpy driveway but worth the jiggle. Peaceful and quiet. Super nice people
We had a peaceful stay in this quiet woods. Our host was very gracious and invited us in to warm ourselves and visit by the wood stove. Gravel road for the last mile gave us no trouble. Appreciated the opportunity for our first Boondockers Welcome overnight!
Could not have asked for better. Provided us a nice place to relax after a long cross country trip. And many long hours on the road.
A dirt road takes you way back in the forest to a quiet retreat. The parking space was pretty level a short walk to their home. Really off the grid. Justin came out to greet us and welcome us. A little buggy though, so we stayed inside.
We arrived just before sunset and made our way up the long dirt road to find a fantastically quiet oasis in the forest. The parking site was level and very private. Our hosts made us feel very welcome. We joined them for a wonderful evening of conversation in front of a warm and inviting wood stove. They were extremely helpful in pointing out the high points to visit in the area and exchanged tales of our travels further afield. If your looking for a place off the beaten path where you can listen to the leaves rustle and maybe even a coyote howell this is it.
Thanks so much for a wonderful visit!
