We are a quiet couple who have just got the chance to travel without our kids as teenagers are no fun. So we decided to try boondocking. My husband is retired and I was, a stay at home mom. We enjoy our freedom and quiet, and enjoy making new friends wherever we go across the country.
All over USA
My husband was born in MO and grew up in Texarkana,AR & TX. I was raised in Salt Lake City, UT, but came over from Asia.
45 foot Motorcoach with a tow vehicle, and a little 13 foot homemade glamper of Mine . But we don't travel all the time with both. It would be one or the other.
We had to come into Texarkana to see some family around Thanksgiving, and ended up needing to stay for a full 5 days. Jerry and Sara were absolutely wonderful to have as hosts. They helped us get situated, fully hooked up (even lent us a sewer hose support to help get our hose better aligned with the sewage hookup). Our oven decided to stop working ON Thanksgiving morning, while I was baking 2 pies for Thanksgiving dinner. Sara wasted no time helping me get my second pie baked in THEIR RV (since I couldn't get the toaster oven that she let me borrow pre-heated in time). And then Jerry helped my husband fix our oven. They are genuinely nice and wonderful people with a great spot, very level, and my daughter loved going over and looking at the horses. We can't wait to see them again next time we are in Texarkana!
We extended our stay as our hosts were so welcoming. We felt at home watching the game on the porch and eating some great cookies. We would like to stay here again some time
Our hosts were so welcoming. We loved this place and will definitely be back. Our first time as guests and this was a great place to start. Thank you for having us stay here.
