In my picture, I'm the guy on the right.
I'm a Gulf War Vet with a case of toxic overload they call Gulf War Vet's Illness. I've come through some deadly health issues with my hide intact. I'm doing better than I have in a long time and can be more active. I'm doing good to have 4 hours a day of doin' but after that I manage symptoms and move slowly through my evening. I will be travelling solo but with fuzzies.
I will be traveling with my 5 cats with containment precautions made. I will eventually be getting a puppy too. Probably a Mini Aussie. Each pet has an "XY Find It" tracker on its harness and is chipped. When set up for more than a few days they get leash walks and I set up play areas with tunnels and toys. They are laser dot chasers, clicker trained and one of them uses human toilets. When I'm passing thru they stay inside except for walks. I loves me some fuzzy pets.
My Mother is still with us but we just lost my Dad in August so there is a void. My older brother and two younger sisters live near Ma and are helping her go through the processes of grief and living adjustments. I'm on the fone with her every other day at least. They are all in MD and Penn. area. When I'm sure I will be sticking with full time RVing I will be visiting the east coast but for this year I will be snowbirding from Goldendale, WA to Quartzsite, AZ.
I was a radar tech in the service. Went right to illustrating and airbrushing after that and settled on candlemaking for 18 years. Former member of Portland Saturday Market from 1994 thru 2011. Built a 20' 2story decagon cabin with add-ons and outbuilding including a chicken mansion, decks and pool and 100' diameter garden on a west facing ridge just north of Goldnedale, Wa on Ponderosa Parcels lot #202. Became a handiman from 2007 to present with a 2 year or so period of convalescence. Handy with computer problems. Since losing my ability to heavy lift I am reinventing myself as a travelling light duty handiman and problem solver. I have some sculptures to make once I get full timing started involving some new age polymers with some older techniques. Can't wait to get them started. I also do fimo sculpting. Candlemaking is pretty much done for me except for finishing and moving some older inventory.
I'm new at this. I have joined clubs. At least two hundred hours of YouTube tutorials. I have Good Sam memshp in the works...RVillage...RV Mobile Internet Resource Center...America The Beautiful Access Pass. Been outfitting with the help of Amazon. Solar upgrade prolly in Q-site. Then I hope to be able to Boondock anywhere. I can see coastal Boondocking in my near future like spring of 2017.
Grew up in Columbia, MD with some summers and most Christmas vacations in Lake Placid NY. Schooled in Columbia at WLHS but did senior year at LPHS. Columbia kids make great adults.
