We enjoy camping an meeting new people. Although we may not have a lot of time to spend with our guests that stay with us some days and weeks because of our busy schedule, we will always do our best to make you feel welcome when you stop by to visit. We enjoy camping but since we both still work full time, we don't get away as much as we'd like. We've been taking a couple longer camping trips as vacation time and work schedules allow over the past couple years which we've enjoyed a lot. I am an engineer for the past 23 years and my better half is a surgical tech and paramedic. Thanks for reading about us.
We like to cook nice meals on the grille and griddle. I am pretty mechanically inclined. and I've wired most everything here at the property myself. I do most of my own mechanic work on our vehicles and I enjoy welding and fabricating things. My better half is a great singer and can play the guitar. One of the reasons she became a paramedic is that she is always looking to help others.
We have a German Shepard and an adopted Pit Bull. They are both big babies but typically do not travel with us on long trips. They are very affectionate once you get to know them.
Haven't really done any Boondocking yet other than at a friends house. We usually stay at state parks when we need to stop in the middle of a trip on our way to the final destination.
We have a 2017 Keystone Carbon 364 with three slideouts. We pull it with a 2018 F-350 Platinum. It's a nice upgrade from our last campers. Since I use it for work sometimes, I wanted something comfortable. We pulled our old one to Myrtle Beach in 2015, The upper peninsula of Michigan and Amishville Indiana in 2016, Gatlinburg Tennessee in 2016, Pensacola Florida in 2017, and various county fairs and state parks around the area.
Nice flat drive out in the country. Good for a base camp. We stayed overnight on the way to other destinations. Host was very helpful and accommodating. Will stay again if circumstances permit.
Invited to D's birthday barbeque. Our host and everyone else so welcoming.
Big sky and cornfields all around us.
This is the reason we boondock.
Thank you J and D.
Thank you J and D for hosting us last night. Beautiful spot and gracious hosts and well behaved dogs!
We arrived at Jandd during this cold end of winter.
Their place is perfect, water, electricity, wifi, and we could even install a skirt to the fifth wheel.
But the most important is this couple.
Generous, kind, so interesting and incredibly helpful. We couldn't ask for more.
We really hope to see you again ! Anywhere, anytime !
A great country property set up for multiple RVs in summer (ground was too soft now). Our host was super congenial and told us they're playing out their campground-owner fantasy. Being a cold night, we were welcomed to sit in the heated garage and invited to come along to dinner with friends of theirs - thereby meeting more great people- at Knuckleheads Kafe - in nearby Grand Rapids. Great food at very reasonable prices in a quaint town worth exploring further! The electric hookup was much appreciated on a cold night and the dogs are loving and friendly once you've been "introduced" to them. Just sorry we missed meeting our host's wife. Hopefully, next time or when they come visit Ontario one day.
