My wife and I are now in our 50's and enjoying our empty nest. We have been married for 38 years and have been a couple for 45 years. We met March 5th, 1973, married May 16, 1980. We are from the Philadelphia Pennsylvania area and moved to Florida in 1996 with our family of 4 children. All of our children are now adults and married with families of their own.
We travel to businesses, colleges, universities, governmental and NGO offices as trainers, public and keynote speakers, facilitators and educators. We are vetted with U.S. Dept. of Justice to speak and train law enforcement officers how to respond and respectfully interact with Transgender persons either victim or offender, we facilitate anti bullying programs and support group meetings, lobby state officials and are active in the LGBTQ+ community.
We've recently purchased a used RV that was in need of lots of work. We hope to begin a new life of full time living so we can see more of this beautiful country by the spring of 2019. We are hoping our boondocker guests will share some of their time with us telling their stories, give us advice for RV living and just being a new friend with a similar interest in travel and the freedom of RV/TT living.
Of course if you just want to be left alone to enjoy the peace and quiet of our 125' tall Oak and Pine tree surrounded property we will completely respect your privacy. We look forward to welcoming you.
"Please be aware that we are a *same sex* family and *EVERYONE* is welcome to our property that *COMPLETELY* accepts civil rights, equality and respect for *all* people".
I had a 20 year career in Information technology. I was Help desk, Repair technician, Computer Administrator, Services Administrator and a Computer Network administrator. I was a IT Director at a local free clinic for a few years as a volunteer, can repair your desktop PC, direct you to a local reputable shop for Laptop repairs, we have RV service centers not far from here, our son owns an automotive repair shop highly rated in the county so we can even get your tag-along vehicles in shape while you visit. My wife Linda worked in the health and safety compliance field in corporate America at major chemical, petroleum and housing products companies. We both now live semi-retired in our tiny town in west central Florida.
We have a Cockaoo and a 13 y/o grand doggie..(Chihuahua). Only the Chihuahua comes with us when we travel. Our kids get to take care of the parrot while we are away.
We are hoping to go north to Maine in the Spring of 2019 and then perhaps out to the west coast. We've not yet been able to start our adventure but we have visited a few resorts and campgrounds here in Florida while road testing our RV. Our favorite by far was in Sarasota. We have not yet been a Boon Docker Guest.
Our home town was Levittown Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia. We moved here to Florida in 1996 and it has been home since.
We own a 1990 Fleetwood Bounder RV that has been refurbished. We are upgrading the interior as we travel. No major construction, just changing the old dated curtains and things like that. We hope to be on the road at least part time by Spring 2018. Our toad is currently a 1998 GMC Sonoma mini-pickup. The RV is 34 feet long and the 4 down toad adds another 15 feet including hitch, The toad itself is only 12' long.
Karen & Linda were very nice hosts who welcomed us for three nights. There place was easy to find and close to town.
Linda and Karen were awesome hosts and there spot was roomy and quiet. It was an ideal location for us. We have family in the area and they were near everything that we needed, stores, auto repair, grocery, etc.
Karen amd linda are very friendly and accommodating. We wished we would have had more time to have had dinner or something with them, but we were very busy the days we were there. The
Thank you again for. Lovely stay.
Karen and Linda are so welcoming and generous! They had a bonfire while we stayed there and also had us in for a chat with some cookies! Karen knows her way around RVs and gave us some really handy tips while Linda was kind and gave us some good local recommendations of places to visit! The site was beautiful and we were able to go out and visit with Dusty Rose (their bird) every day for a little bit! If we were coming back to Florida, Karen and Linda's would be our first stop!
Karen and Linda are over-the-top hosts. They are helpful and and kind; knowledgeable and skilled in RV maintenance. This is my second stay with them and I'm sure it will not be my last.
Karen and Linda are host extraordinaire. They were very friendly and their location is perfect for visiting the area. Peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by trees. We had a family emergency come up all of a sudden and they helped us come up with a solution. Thank you for all your help and understanding. You are a excellent example of great people and are very special boondocker hosts. Thank you again.

Karen and Linda are remarkable hosts. I was invited to stay on their property while they were away for a while and then when they returned I was invited for a delicious dinner with them. Fascinating stories kept the conversation going even after dinner. My stay with them was generously extended when I discovered my plans for moving on fell apart. I as if a close friendship is in the making.
We really enjoyed our time here. The space is quiet, and the neighbors are great :) Karen even climbed on the roof and helped me switch out the gasket on our A/C which turned into a half day project.
New friends, great spot to park couldn’t have been a better experience. Look forward to coming back!
This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome as a guest! It was great! Karen and Linda are gracious and knowledgeable hosts. They were fun to visit with and trade our past experiences and adventures. They are welcome to come to our boondocking site so that we can share our little part of the world.
From the minute my dog and I arrived, Karen & Linda could not have been more generous and accommodating. Karen knows a thing or ten about RVs and, luckily for me, was able to diagnose and fix an electrical problem that arose while I was there. The problem resulted in me having to stay an extra night which was absolutely no issue. Their son also owns a thriving auto repair shop - fortunately he was able to fit me in for an oil change and inspection on my rig while I was there so I left Karen & Linda’s feeling absolutely confident I can continue my journey for another 5,000 miles without worry.
We enjoyed a number of meals together over the 4 days I was there and I met two of their young grandchildren who were both delightful. They also have a sweet little dog and a very entertaining parrot. Theirs is a home filled with love and kindness and no judgement whatsoever. I will be forever in their debt and sincerely hope they make it up to Canada one day in their rig so I can return their hospitality.
The most welcoming hosts we could have imagined for our first Boondockerswelcome stay. Came to the area to look at some properties to buy. Karen and Linda were so helpful explaining where everything was. We felt very welcome. Karen's extensive knowledge with the inner workings of RV's helped us out several times during our stay.
Thank you Karen and Linda for such a wonderful time at your home. It was a pleasure to get to know both of you and also to meet Pebbles and Dusty Rose. We need your recipe for the keto meatballs !! Your hospitality was overwhelming and gracious. We wish you the best of luck as you pursue your dream of hitting the road in your vintage RV and hope to meet you on the road whenever we are in the same area...or visit you again at your place next time we are down your direction.
Words can't express how we're happy that we stayed with these amazing hosts. Karen and Linda are most welcoming, caring and outgoing people we've met in a long time. They have breathtaking life story to share and one night is just not enough. We would love to stay longer but we have to catch up with our travel schedule. We will definitely come back again. Can't wait to see these amazing ladies again! Meeting people like them is the best experience about rv life style. :) Thank you so much for everything!!!
With Boondockers Welcome we knew it would be a great opportunity to meet new people and maybe make new friends, but with Karen and Linda we found a new family ! They are two amazing women ! They were very welcoming and respectful. We had a wonderful time sharing stories over a meal, laughing and spending time together. Karen even helped us fix the awning of the rv when the new part came in. Meeting them was certainly one of the best highlights of this trip. We love you both ! Family forever ! Anne-Marie, Dominic and the girls xxxxxx
We can"t say enough about Karen and Linda's kindness. They let us stay a second time so we could be near family for the holidays. Once again Karen helped us out with many rv issues, including when our door lock broke and I was locked in while Randy was locked out! We shared a meal again and really enjoy there company. We are thankful that they hosted us again and feel like we have made lifelong friends.
Karen and Linda were gracious hosts. Enjoyed a meal and several good conversations together.
I had issues with my travel trailer which Karen took time to assist and problem solve which was so appreciated :)
A quiet rural/residential area, nice for a walk or bike ride. I jope we get a chance to visit again down the road amd I'm excited to hear about your next steps in your journey!
We and our dogs we're welcome cordially.
Over some cheese, fruits and Karen's unbelievable homemade chocolate cookies we spend a nice evening with an interesting Conversation.
Thank you for hosting us, hope to meet you again.

Karen and Linda were so kind and so helpful! This was our first boondocking experience and in fact first rving experience! They helped us out in so many ways, from advice regarding our rig to computer help and more. Hope we meet again, perhaps on the road!
Karen and Linda were absolutely wonderful hosts. They welcomed me and my son so graciously. I am very happy to have shared time with them hearing about their beautiful family and sharing my story with them. They helped brighten my trip.
We stayed two nights with Karen-Linda and it was a great experience! With such a warm welcome we felt right at home. We are so happy to have had a chance to meet and chat with such great people. Thank you for everything!
I'm so happy we found Karen-Linda! They are such thoughtful hosts, great conversation, care so much about others, have stories and stories to share about their lives and the very important work they are doing in the world. It was an honor to share their home base with them for 2 nights. We will definitely be stopping by again when we're in the area and I hope we get to see them speak while we're on the road. Fantastic couple with a beautiful family.
What a nice experience. Karen-Linda are wonderful hosts. They are friendly, outgoing and couldn't have made me feel more welcome or comfortable. I stayed with them for two days, during which time they were quite busy with their lives and I had my own agenda, but it was a pleasant experience from the time I arrived until I left. They like people, so you'll feel welcome by them, too. Thanks Karen-Linda for being another reason that my lifestyle of full-time travel is so grand. Best wishes with all your future endeavors and I look forward to crossing paths again.
Very helpful hosts. Offered us hook-ups, but didn't need for anything this time. Heading out early. We were pretty tuckered, wish we had felt more social. Maybe next time.Thanx Ladies!
