Our rig is a 2008 Presidio 360 (2008) diesel pusher 38'. My wife and I are both retired and enjoy spending time on the road visiting family, friends and places. While I have been a camper for years; tents, trailers, campers and vans, I have recently taken up Boondocking. We also tow an H3 Hummer to get around.
My wife is an amazing cook of Puerto Rican food.
We do but we don't travel with them.
We've lived in Las Vegas since 1988. I have seen this city grow from a few hundred thousand to about a million.5

We had a great time with PopsLV!!! They were always eager to learn more about our way of life and farming operations in the area. They are a special couple and we hope to meet up with them in January 2019!!! Sorry that they didn't like our MN birds (mosquitoes)!! haha
The little we got to visit these folks was very enjoyable. They were very friendly, kind people and we wish we could have had more time to sit and talk. We hope our paths cross again!
Sam and Victoria had been attending a grand child's graduation in New York City, meanwhile, we shared differences in each of our coaches operations.
We will look you up when in LasVegas!
Very nice couple. I learned about some of their history but unfortunately I was to busy to talk more
It was a pleasure to have these folks stay with us and share a few life stories.
Sam was so incredibly accommodating and had everything (and more) to make our stay amazing. Large area for our RV, water, electric, even a dump! The location was a 15 minute uber to the strip, but in a quiet neighborhood off the road. Sam was a joy to get to know, and had lots of great stories. We will definitely be back if we are in the Vegas area again!
Pops LV was a great place to Boondock. Large, quiet area to park in a gated yard. Hookups were available. Close to the Las Vegas Strip. Pops was very hospitable allowing us to un-winterize our RV and he even helped. He gave us some ideas on sights to see in Las Vegas and surrounding area. We really enjoyed visiting with him and his family. Highly recommend if you are wanting to boondock near Las Vegas.
We enjoyed our stay with Pops. A solid family man with great area knowledge. If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas we would highly recommend a stay with Pops. Travelers Rest
Couldn't have asked for a more accommodating host. Provided all amenities and a safe location. Thank you for all your insight into the Las Vegas area, especially to Sam Jr for his assistance. Hope we can reciprocate one day.
We absolutely enjoyed staying and spending time with you and get to know each other, its is is what I love about boondocker welcome.
Your place is absolutely wonderful .You are truly are a SUPER HOST.
Hopefully we will meet again.
Thanks Darwin and Linda
What a prime spot! It's hardly Boondocking, PopsLV has full hookups and you stay behind a locked gate if you so choose! The family is very nice and I highly enjoyed watching a Raider game with them! The location is great, 10 to 15 minutes from the strip depending on traffic and was right near everything I wanted to go to.
This was such a fun Boondocking spot and very accommodating. I am looking forward to seeing them again in the future!
We stayed with Pops for two nights while we celebrated our anniversary in Las Vegas. Pops is very generous, offering a large parking space, with full hook-up! We loved meeting Pops and his family. We had a great time with great hosts.
We look forward to meeting up again down the road.
We are a German couple on the round trip through USA southwest and stood at PopsLV two nights. We were warmly welcomed and offered dumping and electricity. The concrete courtyard is closed with a gate. The place is quiet at night, from the airport you can hear only a little. The Strip is easily accessible by taxi. We had two pleasant nights.
We loved staying with Pops, who gave us a fantastically warm welcome and was very helpful and sincere.
A lovely guy to talk with and spend time with too!
Thanks again! :-)
Great spot only 6 miles from The Strip. Easy with the bus to go and get back with a cab. The host was verry kind and invite as into his house to have a little chat before we get into town. Thank you so much unfortunellety we missed you to say goodbye...
This family was very gracious, I found them online as Boondockers hosts. The accommodations are over and above what a fultime RVer would hope for. He was there with lots of great stories of the road and also shared some great visiting. Was close to strip. He knows the area very well. If I were able to give him a grade. It would be A+++. This is great way to go down the road and see the country because of hosts like popsLV.
Aside from being close in to everything around Vegas. He is an amazing person and has a very gracious family. I was able to ride my bike all over the area. I highly recommend LVpops next time you are in Vegas. Thank you for lol of your info and sharing your travels with me LVpops <emoji>
We stayed at Pops LV place for 4 nights and we could not have asked for a better host. He and his family were extremely friendly and was full of good ideas for our exploration of Vegas. We enjoyed our discussions and highly recommend his place to other boondockers !
You could not ask for a better host.
Great stay, thanks to all involved...
So grateful to have stayed with PopsLV and his family. As total newbies to RVing, his spacious and easy to get in and out of driveway on a culdesac, ability to know just what we needed to do with our brand new trailer when we didn't have a clue, and his home having every amenity you could think of (he even has a vacuum and air for your tires!) made it the perfect first stop for us.
What really made this location special was his families hospitality and warmth. They invited us into their home and BBQed for us while we watched the football game. He shared his deep knowledge of RVing, camping, and gifted us with many kernels of wisdom that I hold dear. It may sound cheesy, but it's true! He is a wise man, and I took so much away from our time together as a new RVer.
The next morning we met up with a friend for breakfast since his home is in a perfect location near the strip, so it's just a short drive to anywhere you want to be. When we returned he helped us pack up, made sure all our tanks were full, then spent about 20min patiently teaching us the finer points of backing up a camper trailer.
I will be stopping back at PopsLV's again next time I roll through Vegas for sure, and have added him to my speed dial.
Pops LV was welcoming and helpful when we stopped in Las Vegas for one night on our way from the Grand Canyon to Monterey. He helped us back our RV into his fenced yard. There was plenty of room and he offered electric hook ups, water and dumping. It was extremely hot that day and Pops actually invited us into his home and gave us a cold drink. We had a great chat with him before retiring to our RV. It was quiet and we had a restful night before moving on to our next destination. Pops is a wonderful host and we so appreciated our stay!
We had the pleasure of staying with PopsLV in May, 2017 while exploring Las Vegas. Having worked in the city for many years, he offered us valuable insights to make our experience far better than it would have been without his inside scoop. I even had the opportunity to get to know him a bit while we were there and he is a warm, kind-hearted family man who was about to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary - congratulations! It was our pleasure to meet him! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place.
stayed here in LV for 1 Night. We posted our request only the day before and he called right back. When we arrived, he gave us a warm Welcome and showed us his RV (big! impressive!) and a bit around in his house. He is a very nice and relaxed guy. Later, he even gave us a lift to the Strip in his car, and the next day we could dump and refill our RV.
This was our first experience with boondockerswelcome.com, and Tops LV made it such a special one! If we ever come back to Las Vegas in an RV again, we definitely would stay here again!
As a host, Tops LV is a clear 10 out of 10!
I stayed with Pops a few days while in Las Vegas. He has a nice concrete covered backyard that's completely fenced in; nice and quiet. His place is just about 1.5 miles from the strip and is very convenient to shopping.
Pops move his RV to the road when we arrived so we could park in his level driveway. He offered all the hook ups. We stayed one night and had a short chat with him that was very enjoyable.
We arrived to find that our hosts had parked their own motorhome in the Street to make room in their yard for our motorhome behind gates. We were made so welcome by our hosts who even invited us to join them for thanksgiving dinner with their large family and friends, this was not only our first thanksgiving dinner (we are from Australia and don't celebrate this at home) but also our first taste of Puerto Rican food and that was to say the least a wonderful experience. We were invited to visit again when we return to the U.S. and accepted the offer on the condition that they accept our invtation to take our hosts out to dinner at that time. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit this lovely family.
Thank you so much,
We stayed 3 nights with Pops LV.
They put their rig in the street to let us park behind the fence. So generous, they also offered a ride to the airport.
They also have all hookups, which is convenient in the middle of a city.
Although close to the airport and the Strip, the neighborhood is very quiet and safe.
Thank you Pops Lv and all your family.
So enjoyed having Pops LV stay with us. They were very kind guests and we enjoyed visiting with them. They are welcome back anytime.
