Recently retired after 25+ years of full time international travel as a management consultant (prior to that I was a university professor). Enjoying exploring nearer to home and without the rush from airport to car rental to hotel to work & back again.
I've been a host for cross country, self supported bicyclists on Warm Showers for over ten years. Always enjoy providing them with a safe place to stay, a shower and a meal ... usually in exchange for great stories about their adventures. Now that I've impulsively bought a vintage truck camper, I thought I'd welcome RVs, too.
Enjoy Dutch oven cooking (vegetarian) and making pizza on the grill. Excellent bicycle maintenance skills.
I haven't boon docked yet myself. New to this! I did enjoy a six night stay at a sheep herding camp with my dog in the beautiful Poconos of eastern Pennsylvania. Most of my trips have been to Tin Can Tourist meets at Camp Dearborn and Avion Silver Rally in Elkhart.
1971 Cayo (Avion) C-11 Truck Camper. It was an impulse buy on eBay (was looking for a small pull behind Avion or Airstream). I've had it for two years now, and have gradually been making improvements. She's still 90% original.
