I retired in 2006 after a 25 year career in Sales and Management with Motorola. My wife passed away in 2015 and since then I have enjoyed traveling solo in my little 2011 Casita Freedom Deluxe 17' travel trailer. I have no dogs or cats or even a house plant that travel with me. I leave as small a footprint as I can. I am a member of Casita Club, The Kansas City Metro Casita Club, Passport America, AARP, Good Sam Club and now Boondockers.
I am a reasonably handy guy to have around. I have built two cabins from the ground up. I do all my own plumbing, electrical, framing, concrete work, etc. My favorite pastime is fishing. I have fished all my life and still get a thrill when that fish hits my lure. I hope that never goes away.
I like to travel to Texas, Alabama, Florida and Arizona. Thinking about spending a month or two at Quartzite this year. I plan to do more traveling in the North East and way out west.
I grew up in a small town in SE Missouri named Malden. I have lived since 1988 in Kansas City, Missouri having retired from Motorola.
I have a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and tow a 2011 FD17' Casita travel trailer. I don't require much in regards to electricity. I actually have a small Yamaha generator and solar suitcase panel that I use when I am truly boon docking. The Casita is an all fiberglass trailer that works out perfectly for me traveling solo.
