We are in the country outside of Overbrook, KS and enjoy the outdoors. I do audio work for churches and my wife works part time in local schools. We are active in our church, and travel some as well. Barb enjoys quilting and yard work, and Randy enjoys astronomy and sailing. Our careers were both in education and we retired from Alaska and now live in Kansas close to Barb's family.
I can help with mechanics tools, but I am not a mechanic. I have a decent woodshop. I'm your basic diy person who has done some construction.
Not yet, we both want a dog when we travel less.
Typically it's Walmart. As far as general travel, all of North America is fair game. We both really like the Canadian Rockies, especially Jasper and north.
Randy grew up in Houston, TX; Barb in Waverly, KS. Overbrook has TJ’s, a bar, with good reasonably priced food and a couple of other options. There is a Napa, grocery store, banks, post office, laundromat, a gas station, and Dollar General.
We have a 2002 Bigfoot 9.6 pickup camper and a 2010 Forest River Rockwood MiniLite 18 Etc. These are small, but my parents have brought their 33' foot Travel Supreme 5th wheel and 33' Tiffen Allegro Motorhomes for visits.
... to have brrroberts as our guest. Enjoyed visiting and sharing experiences of where they and us had lived or traveled.
Welcome back anytime you are in the area.
Helpful, friendly, beautiful! What more could you ask? Enjoyed conversation in the beautiful gazebo, gazing at well tended gardens and watching a variety of birds at the feeders. All in all, heartily recommend this location!
Our host greeted us and showed us a beautiful level site next to a gazebo and flowering redbud tree. We paid a small amount for an electric hookup and did not need water, which was also available. Quiet night in the country and an early departure with send off from our gracious host. Highly recommend!
our hosts met us in the driveway and guided us into a perfect spot with everything we could possibly need. Super warm, friendly and interesting in the middle of Kansas farm country. Thank You brroberts!
We stayed on their property for three nights when I had some meetings that I needed to attend in Topeka. They were extremely nice hosts and accommodating to our needs. Their property is nice and it is very peaceful. They also have a beautiful gazebo that they said we could use.
We would recommend staying there if you are in the area.
