I am a widower. Lost my wife of 54 years in June 2015. Since then I am travelling to destinations we wanted to go to but could not because of her disabilities/illnesses.
I am a retired Marine and retired civil servant.
I like to tour around the places I travel thru, e.g. visit museums, art shows, and other entertainment venues. Essentially, get a feel for the locale.
Am a member of Escapees RV Club and its SOLOs subgroup. Member of LonersOnWheels(a singles RV Club).
I am handy with tools in a "Do it Yourself" fashion. I carry several tools with me. I've helped with Habitat for Humanity builds as an RV Car-a-Vanner in Florida and New Mexico.
No pets. Had poodles for over 40 years.
Cracker Barrel Restaurants, Walmart(not often), quiet roadside spots, rest areas, church parking lots, Days End locations. BLM locations out west.
Centreville, Virginia. Which is located in northern Va about 25 miles south of Washington DC. I live in a townhouse condo community. No room for RV's. When home I have to store mine in a local park.
35 foot 2004 Winnebago Adventurer and I tow a Chrysler van. The RV is fully self contained, and has two slideouts. I usually carry enough fresh water for my immediate needs, and then some.
