Hi there! We are RV Newbs Sarah and Derrick, transitioning from boondocking trips in our Prius and 19' campervan to a 29' Class C RV. Over the last few years we have had some epic adventures throughout Canada and the U.S.A., and are excited to get out there and explore the area from our new apartment on wheels.
Between the two of us, we have experience with Property Management, Rental Properties, Waste Audits, Waste Diversion, Sustainability, Plant Based Diet, Jiu Jitsu, Fitness, Meditation, Microsoft/Computer skills, Editing/Writing, Data Entry, Wordpress, Budgeting, C&C Machine Work, Security, Social Media, SEO, Fulfilled by Amazon, Merch by Amazon, Prius Boondocking, Campervan Boondocking, Travelling FT with Cats, Working Remotely.
We travel with an adorable extra-toed cat named Mittens. She LOVE to go out for walks and explore new destinations on her leash, however, she is content to stay indoors if that is preferred.
We've spent up to an hour driving around a town trying to find somewhere that feels safe and respectful to sleep at night in our Prius hatchback or campervan. Our favourite locations have been anywhere with a great view :) Now that we have a longer RV, our strategy is sure to change and we're hoping this site can assist us with the transition.
We're from London Ontario Canada - the "Forest" City
We have a 2003 Ford Kustom Koach M-280KC Class C RV. She is in great condition inside and out - her only other owner took great care of her and we intend to do the same for many years to come :) Our RV is 28'6" with no slide-outs, abnormal decorations, rust or major paint chips - super clean inside and out. SHe has a 176" wheelbase and can fit in a single parking spot as long as our rear can hang over some grass or a median, etc. At this time we don't have a bike rack to keep our length under 30 ft. We have recently installed a solar system, new MaxxFans and working on updating the interior.
Shannon and I were busy with a new venture during Indie's stay, but our experience with them from a communication standpoint was excellent. They were quiet and tidy and let us know their comings and goings. As far as I'm concerned...they're A+ guests!
We thoroughly enjoyed Indie’s visit. Great conversation. We are now following them with interest on their trip south. . Hope to meet up with them on our travels. We would not hesitate to have them stay again and hope that one day they do.
Would have like to have been able to have better known both of them ,but their stay was very short. They are welcome to our place in the future.
Derrick and Sarah are great guests. It was truly a pleasure to spend time with them and share Easter dinner.
We had the pleasure of hosting Derrick and Sarah for a couple of nights and they are great guests. Quiet and unobtrusive but a friendly couple with lots of great conversation. Great people to spend a few hours watching the sun go down with.
Didn’t get to spend time with them, they were on the go, Came in late and I had to leave early. No problems would have them back . Safe travels 🚍
Indie was a thoughtful and nice guest. They have two super cool cats! I enjoyed visiting about Canada and their journey through the United States.
We were lucky enough to host Indie here at Boondockers Headquarters over the Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend. These lovely two young people are embarking on what sounds like an amazing journey and I can't wait to hear all about it! They were so kind and respectful, and sat with us for a coffee one morning and told us about their plans. They also happily listened to our young boys tell them about their lego inventions and even bought a chocolate bar for their school fundraiser!
Best wishes on your travels Indie, and we will definitely keep in touch!
We enjoyed meeting Indie & their 2 cats when they stayed here during the recent heat wave. Fulltiming in a Class B is a challenge, but they have some interesting approaches.
They would be welcome here again.
