I am retired, and travel in the summer as much as I can.
I live in Independence Mo. Living in the middle of the US.
I can go and visit most of the Midwest in just a few days.
I have not traveled out west much. I like to take the back
roads and see America. "Blue Highways" is a great book about
a MU professor, who took a van, and made it into a camper, driving
a loop of the country, talking to people he met. He only went on,
back roads, and his words were an inspiration, for me to hit the
road. William Least Heat Moon, made life on the road, real, for me.

I collect old baseball gloves, from the 40's and 50's. I like to
fish, and read books on my kindle. I like Blues Music and like to
attend festivals, watch the KC Royals, my home town team. I joined
two camping groups, some retired like me. We meet and have campouts.
They are great people, and I am always, learning new things.

I have been married 48 years. My wife, lets me go, on my adventures.
But makes me keep in touch.

Thanks for you consideration.

I might follow Moon's path, one day, and retrace his route, and towns
he went through.

My camper is a Mini Mate. I pull with my Goldwing Trike. I talked to the site before joining, and she said as long as I was self contained I was OK. I need nothing and I take up about as much room as a car. Camper is pop-up tent type. She advised me to post a picture, of the camper so members can see it. I will do that. I love the camper and for me it's just right. If you can tell me a good place to eat, I'm good. Hope I can meet some of the members real, soon. Thanks Mike
