We are a retired professional couple with a home near Atlanta. We have taken our class B van to Newfoundland, Alaska, Key West, San Diego, and lots of places in between. We usually spend part of the winter at our lot at the Florida SKP park and travel an additional 3-5 months each year.
2012 24' Class B Winnebago ERA.
We enjoyed sitting around the campfire exchanging stories of our RV travels. They were very self-sufficient, declining our offer of a 120 hook-up, even though it was 84 degrees. SKPKen is welcome back anytime.
We've had a lot of good guests, but I save "great" for only the best. This couple was respectful, appreciative and fun! We had some very enjoyable conversation, and they would definitely be welcome back at any time!
Was out at Flagstaff when I was notified neighbors took care of them to ensure they had everything they needed
We were out traveling, so they took care of themselves and left our RV area spotless! They even contacted us to see if they could water our plants. Good boondockers..
They came self contained! We offered electricity and water but were experienced Boondockers and declined both! We would welcome them again at anytime.
K & B were acceptably kind hosts even when we arrive in a rather clumsy manner. We had ample room for our 24 foot RV and they provided helpful electric cord. There home is so located in a beautiful lush landscape area and great shops and restaurants within walking distance. We left early to hike Vickery Creek Trail in Roswell before heat. Site was perfect thank you so much.
SKPKen is the friendliest, coolest host and the location is amazing, short walking distance to historic downtown Norcross, with lots of restaurants. SKPKen gave great suggestions of where we could eat and things to do. We of course followed his suggestions and had an amazing night out. HIGHLY suggest boondocking at this amazing location with these amazing hosts.
Host was very helpful and friendly and we had a great chat about places he’d been and he gave us a few ideas for our future travels including some outside the country that sounded really interesting. Unfortunately we were pressed for time and had to head out but would love to drop by another time and hear more about their travels. Thanks for all the extra help during our stay!
Quiet, shady site. We stayed in the lower parking spot. There is a nice town just a short walk away. Thanks!
Although the host wasn’t home during our stay, he gave us very good instructions prior to our visit and was available by text to answer questions. The site was beautifully landscaped, the azaleas were in full bloom, and we parked on a level concrete driveway. If you stay here, take the time to walk or bike to Historic downtown Norcross. It’s a quaint little area with lovely homes and a beautiful park that’s located in the heart of it. We definitely recommend this host and location.
Wonderful place to stay for a rainy evening! We walked with our umbrella downtown for a wonderful dinner and enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep before our departure. Thanks so much for letting use your pad! Maybe one day our paths will cross! 3 positive boondockerwelcome experiences and we are contemplating sharing our place with others when passing through northwest Florida!! Thank you so much!
Great spot near all the action, had a good stay and would recommend/stay again!
Their location is ideal: flat, safe, and quiet. I enjoyed a restful night, in spite of dropping temperatures and my propane regulator failing. I just needed a safe overnight, which I got. They did mention a nearby town easily walkable. I'd like to do that some day. This time, I just slept. Long travel days ahead of me.
Thank you for hosting! Definitely recommend.
Great spot, and nice conversations! Thanks so much for the hospitality (and the needed celery, lol!)
SKPKen are the nicest people you could ever meet. They were accommodating and willing to share their knowledge about camping/RVing. The area was beautiful with lots to do nearby. They even gave me a box of sparklers on the 4th. I hope I meet up with them again in my travels.
The hosts were not home but allowed me to stay at their place. It was a very enjoyable stay. I walked around the town and will return when I can visit properly. I’m thankful for the Boondockers Welcome hosts who are assisting me on my journey home.
Thank you SKPKen
Ken and his wife accepted me even though they were not there. They are very generous people and their house is very nice with all commodities.
So I hope to see the both of you one day and we could chat together.
I am so glad I got to stay at SKPKen’s house. They were awesome hosts and asked why I was leaving so early (10:00 am).
Ken was so helpful and making sure we had everything we needed. And even guided us up the hill for parking. They have all the amenities one could ask for. And even though they were not only in a kitchen remodel but also Christmas season with events, Ken and Betsy took time to get to know us and even share much knowledge of what for us to expect. Betsy was gone quite a bit to help her son prep for things, while Ken was coordinating contractors. Those in-between times were greatly cherished. It's always so encouraging to hear and receive the encouragement that these people do. A 50ft electric cord is all you will need and water and cleanout all see right there. It's such a great location. As the town had all the amenities one would need. And the town is extra lovely at Christmas. Offering free carriage rides, meeting Santa, Christmas lights in the historic are. Etc.
Thank you for hosting us. We have a wonderful stay! Electric, water and sewer all available.
Ken and Betsy are happy camping retirees who, when home, open their yard to dockers as if family. The home is tucked away off a busy but manageable street shaded by mature trees and lovely landscape. Water, sewer, and electric with a smile was more than I could ask for. My daughter and I were in walking distance to a great park and cute downtown area. Boondocker's has yet to disappoint. Hope to meet more like this couple and the others I've had the pleasure along our travels.
Ken hosted me a second time and shared travel stories and tips over a beer. Thank you!!!
Ken and his wife are great hosts with a comfortable site near historic Norcross, GA. Looking forward to seeing them in the future and sharing beer and travel stories.
SKPKen was an excellent host. We had a great time together discussing places to go and see. We have a toad so parking was a bit difficult, but Ken was great and helped move cars around to make it easier to turn around and head out. We so enjoyed our stay and would recommend them to anyone as a wise and very helpful host.
SKPKen were very gracious hosts. The spot was easy to pull into and they provided power, water, and even let us dump too! We stayed 2 nights.
