Retired since 2014. Been RV’in since 2015. Love wine and good food. Socialize with neighbors and friends on a regular basis. We love to meet new people.
Was in Manufacturing for 45 years and still do some handyman work for people. Have just about every hand tool known to man and if you can break it, I can usually fix it!!
Had horses for nearly 40 years but my last trusty steed passed away in December 2017. We have a deaf Schnauzer named Webster and he travels with us on trips.
We enjoy Rocky Fork State park in south western Ohio and numerous places out west when we did a 6 week swing for out 50th anniversary in 2016. We like places in the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. For those of you traveling in southwestern Ohio also consider looking at a boondocking host in the Hillsboro area. They are close friends of ours oand a great farm location.
We live in Germantown Ohio. We have several great attractions in our area. The United States Air Force Museum, the Wright Brothers Museum, and the Carrollon Historic Park which displays the many famous people from the Dayton and Miami valley area.
25 foot Sunliner trailer
Due to the extremely hot weather, we didn't get to spend as much time with this couple as we normally would, but we definitely enjoyed the time we did have together. Loved meeting Maxwell who is such a well-behaved dog. These folks are definitely welcome back at any time.
A pleasant couple with whom we enjoyed talking. They left our place the same as they found it.
Enjoyed having Goldengeroge1 stop for the night and meeting their Schnauzer (sp?) Webster. Had a chance to sit on our deck after dinner and get acquainted. They are also BW hosts with a location that Is convenient for us when traveling I-75 through southern Ohio.
Lynn, Jackie and Webster stayed with us and we're wonderful guest. They were friendly and polite. We really enjoyed their company. Hope they can stay again sometime.
We had a very nice stop. Very nice host and a beautiful setting. There was a pretty bad storm while we were there. It was great to have a safe place and caring host.
Ace and I really enjoyed our stay. We had some time to catch up on working straightening up for our trip. The host greeted us with hot peach pie. Delicious! They were gracious and helped me get set up on level ground. While being very friendly we both kept our space. I would love to visit there again.
This was our first time using boondockerswelcome. We stayed there one night to shorten our drive to Tennessee. We got there late, but the host was welcoming and helped us unhook our car and jump our dead battery. We are super grateful for all of his help and wish we were able to stay longer. Will definitely be visiting again :)
We had the pleasure and privilege of being hosted by Lynn and Janet. They were our first Boondocking host and if all the host are as welcoming as they were than we are in for a treat.Lynn is very knowledgable and well traveled and had great stories and advise. Inspite of the fact they were celebrating thier wedding aniversary they made time for us.We really enjoyed the the stay and the time we spent together.they are in a beautiful slice of paradise. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.Lynn and Janet thx for the experience and memoeies. We give this host two thumbs up.Marcel & Ray
Very generous, welcoming location. Wonderful area, birds and rabbit right outside windows. Needed to change reservation, very understanding. Thank you again.
Had a great experience for my first BW stay. Very nice place and family. Country setting and was able to have electric. We did our social distance. Thanks again.
Our hosts were there to welcome us. They were flexible and waved us on when we arrived. Lynn even brought us coffee in the morning.
Wow! The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Gave us ideas of what to see in area. Lots of old historic buildings and bridges in the area. Great times, great food, great wine. Felt like we were long time friends. Until we meet again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your companionship, and great cooking. Your forever boondocker friends
We arrived late afternoon... Easy to find.
Host came out to direct us and showed us where to park. Host offered electric, which we didn't need, but appreciated.
They had an engagement for dinner, and we were road weary, so we didn't spend any time together. Friendly, accommodating, and just what we were looking for.. A place to lay our heads on our way south. Quiet.
I would recommend these nice people any time!!!
These people were very friendly invited me in for dinner first night had great conversation. Very pretty area.
These guys set the bar to a new high for being cordial and hospitable. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed cocktail hour and pizza...just an all-around great experience. Boondockers Welcome has a terrific roll-model with these folks!
Tcamperman.... North Carolina
Our hosts went above and beyond expectations to make us welcome, comfortable and included. Great visit and site. P&J
We spent one lovely night with our hosts who were very accommodating.
Beautiful spot and so, so much better than staying in a parking lot!
Thanks for the hospitality.
Friendly and generous hosts.
We really enjoyed our time at this site.
We highly recommend them.
Wonderful host with lots of knowledge about the area. They give great directions and advice on what I should move to the top of my list to see. Great location. They go out of there way to be helpful. Very family oriented. Great place to walk my dog close by. Wish I had more time to explore more. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Thanks so much for letting me catch my breath for a night! Lovely tranquil surroundings, great, thoughtful hosts!
As hosts this couple sets the bar pretty high. A great place to setup and easy to get in to
They even cooked us a great dinner ! We had an absolutely great meal ,great conversation and a great nights sleep. How could anyone ask for more. Highly recommend this Host.
Slept like a baby. Quiet area. Kept to myself because I had a cold but that didn’t stop their legendary generosity. They brought me warm soup and a drink for me to enjoy in my camper. How kind and thoughtful!
I hope my Mrs. is reading this. When was the last time you brought me warm soup when I was sick? ;-) LOL
After telling them of our arrival time he met us at the entrance to his driveway and gave direction on where to park . We felt very welcome and were even invited in for dessert on our second night😋
We contacted Goldengeorge1 about a week before our requested stay date and received an almost immediate confirmation that we could stay. We let them know our ETA and were met in the driveway by Lynn who directed us on where to park. Jackie also came out to greet us as we were backing in to our spot. We were invited in for a most delicious dinner and felt like old friends before we finished appetizers. To say that they are both friendly is for sure an understatement. They couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend staying with Lynn and Jackie if you get the chance. Just be sure to get and follow their directions to the correct driveway. We have a 38' Class A with a toad and had plenty of space in a beautiful setting.
Lynn & Jackie are wonderful folks, welcomed us in for a great homemade spaghetti dinner and we talked & laughed for hours about RV'ing, family, Michigan (all four of us are originally from there) and more. We had a restful stay in their driveway out in the country about 20 miles or so outside of Dayton, OH. Kathy and I spent the following day touring the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop, and Carillon Park (35 buildings representing Dayton area 1800's-early 1900's ) We dined out (Mexican) the 2nd night and we're looking forward to Belgian Waffles in the morning! We hope to meet them on the road sometime soon!
Thanks so much GoldenGeorge...you couldn't have improved your help and hospitality in any way.It was a totally great stay. I hope you give me a chance to reciprocate. A truly nice couple. Windmill camp.
We stayed at Goldengeorge1's this past weekend--2 nights. They couldn't have been more helpful to us. We live locally but are not allowed to have our new TT on our property long enough to run it through it's paces and get familiar with it. He even backed the trailer into our spot! Helped us figure out what we didn't know, and helped us stay on track with what we thought we knew! They and Webster (the doggie) were wonderful hosts. He even let me visit his horses. They even offered to help us in the future if we need support. How kind!
If this is an example of what we will find on Boondocker's Welcome we have so much to look forward to! Very nice people and a lovely setting in Germantown.

Goldengeroge1 was friendly and welcoming. It was very interesting to speak about travels. He was very helpful in giving us information. We recommend Goldengeorge1 and we hope to see them in Quebec.
Our hosts were so welcoming. We had an amazing time with them. They were so helpful and we can not recommend them enough. We had a great exchange of U.S. and Australian cultures and had a very enjoyable time with them and their amazing dog.We are hoping that one day they will visit us in Australia.
